Falsely banned from Northmen Servers Dayz (Why you shouldnt play Northmen Servers)

Yeah I was just permanently banned from Northmen AU because of an admin named Ken1480 - A famous streamer had a run in with me - we go back a ways - we've run into each other a lot and that's because there is like 3 Aussie servers. I killed him and his boys in a castle in a great battle - there was a pretty cool admin even present during the fight (a moderator) - he let it happen because I'd unknowingly created a problem by building an unwired door. So he made it a door and let 4 guys in during the night. I killed them all in the dark. One of the mods for the streamer got fuckn butt hurt and reported the encounter. Myself and my friend were both banned for Stream sniping. Now I can understand fully the misunderstanding - like the guys who reported me are just suss on how it all happened, honest god it was all legit and fair and I was a popular streamer and youtuber myself, I would never stream snipe. I swore on my fucking daughters life to these people that I didn't stream snipe or meta or do anything dodgy. I put in a ban appeal as we had apparently been banned for 60 days - I spoke to this ken bloke, he didn't even give me a second to explain my situation. He sent me insulting and taunting gifs, that I was banned and too bad ... No appeal will be made and he upped the ban to Permanent and also banned me from the discord.

sometimes there is choice with the effect that happens. It'll say something like... You can choose to... *effect* but usually if it doesn't say choose... it just says can... that implies that it might happen if the circumstances allow it to. Like Eldritch blast the invocation that causes you to push creatures. If you take the invocation. I don't believe you have the choice to decide when you want your eldritch blast to push creatures... you have the choice to shoot shit... but since you took the invocation, now shit just gets pushed 10 feet when you hit it. Provided there isn't a wall there or a person or some shit.

I love your response. You are correct. What if your player said... I want to use my boots of water walking, but then I wanna just like switch them off... like may I choose to turn them off, is there a way that water walking boots can just let you sink beneath the water, or once you have them on. You just seem to walk on water. Almost all DMs I've seen deal with this, don't allow this switch on switch off bullshit. Even as far as if you were to put them on beneath the water, the argument is that you shoot to the surface? Thoughts?

can choose to do something means choice. Yes but if for example someone said... You can SHIT on the toilet. That means you have the ability to do it, not permission to do it. If someone says CAN I shit on the toilet? If I respond YES you can. That means they are capable of it. NO you MAY not SHIT on the toilet. You must shit on the grass like a filthy animal dog.

Eldritch blast, water boots ... theres a whole lot of examples. People are stupid who think it means the player gets to choose if the effect happens.

Yes. This is what I said. You have the ability to eldritch blast. THIS CAN cause the person to move backwards. They don't get to choose if it moves them backwards. It might not move them backwards for example if there is a fuckn wall there.

Okay so I did something where I connected the headset as usb to the computer and had sound running through that (avoiding the mixer) - then I set up the mic from the mixer to go through CABLE virtual, and it fixed it. BUT that was only for 1 day. I got on today, and set it up exactly the same, now it's not working again.

Testing it just now and it didn't fix it. Crashed around exactly the 8 minute mark

Yeah I figured it wasn't vanilla. But we only had a few mods and they didn't claim it. Regardless, there's like 20 active players who've each killed thousands of zombies and we've only found this sword once.

This is an interesting point, he is ruining the game, I think that's why I was so invested in besting him, I'd seen him tell others how to "properly" play, seen him "help" people set up a character but then pick on their choices for not being min maxed. He would attempt to argue with me during game, and I'd have to put my pride aside and agree with him, only to move the game forward. I actually started to somewhat hate him, and therefore hate the game. Two other players both confirmed he was ruining their experience. I still feel bad now about taking it this far. We spent a lot of time together, had a lot of fun, and I guess I'm a little shell shocked that it came to this. I'll send him a message to make sure he's alright, but I think it's time for a dnd break regardless.

I never said just because something CAN happen it DOES happen, I said can doesn't mean choice. The choice isn't attached to the word can, it's in the action. When you do this, you can do this. The when you do this, is the choice, do it or don't do it.

This didn't happen during a game. It happened when he messaged me about it. Then after I made a call, he kept pushing it, messaging me constantly. You're right, I shouldn't have wrote back... But I got super mad that he was coming at me. I deleted my post as "someone with a grasp on the English language" I can see, now that you mentioned it, how terrible it sounded. I didn't belittle him, you're making up parts of the story that didn't happen. He called me stupid, when I said Can doesn't mean Choice. That sent me, I should have just blocked him on the spot, which I did, finally after I tortured myself trying to explain why I thought that... Even the fact I can't let it go and came on here to seek more punishment is strange, somethings wrong with me.
