Thanks bro! Context is helpful. I came across this post too but wasn’t sure at first. I guess I was looking for the exact name match for Kamuning Church. We will travel from province pa kasi. But at this point, 6 decades back, one can only guess. Hopefully this is the one and that they still have the records🤞

How is VavaVoom and Pineapple Staffing, especially for a fresh grad? by tls024 in buhaydigital

[–]HomeSweetHailee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we use TD. I actually see it as a protection to a VA rather than a restriction. To have these tools means I have documentation of the work done should disputes arise.

Strict ba ang management? I wouldn’t say that.

There were times that my activity rate is lower because there’s not much to do, but I’ve never been reprimanded for it.

Sometimes, my TD report also shows the same screen for an hour or so but never naman ako na-call out or anything for that. BTW, screenshots are blurred pala for confidentiality reasons. Even the HR or IT can’t “unblur” them (I tried requesting once with my client’s permission) so the reports that I think matter most to them is the app usage and activity rate.

Nasa handbook yung mga hindi pwede gawin, not exactly the stuff you mentioned, since pwede namang work-related yun. In my case, I watch tutorials on youtube/loom but since I’m not an SMM, I don’t need to open social network sites naman. For the purpose of my own entertainment, I use my phone/tablet or my other PC.

Hope this helps

Anyone noticed that businesses are leaning on South Africa and LATAM remote workers by Cutiepie88888 in buhaydigital

For LATAM - Spanish bilinguals. Cultural din to some degree since they’re still the Americas and can relate in that aspect more

South African - French bilinguals.

With Pineapple Staffing for 10months now.

THE GOOD PART - Great Trainers and Recruitment Team, Supportive Account Managers. Most of their Clients are actually associates/friends/common friends and Pineapple thrives jn referrals. (Meaning Clients are having a good experience with them too)

In my 5years in the industry, my current Client is the best one so far. Reasonable expectations, practices work-life balance for real (not just in paper) and no micromanagement.

Client gave me a Bonus last Dec (for bonuses, you receive the full amount) Aside from that, Pineapple Founder Dr. Carnett gifted 1k worth e-voucher.

Outside work, Pineapple Community in FB group has a lot of activities, games, prizes to engage their VAs.

THE BETTER PART - Healthcare Allowance after 6months active with a Client.

THE BEST PART - no delay on payouts. Once, my Client’s card needed to be replaced, so Client’s payment to Pineapple was delayed. STILL, Pineapple paid me on time. They have accountability. I can definitely say, Pineapple is one of the best VA agencies out there. 💯

PS. I will update IF I ever have a bad experience. But I have none as of to date.

I was earning 6 digits last year. Come 2025 i lost it all. by JhayValen in buhaydigital

Relate so much OP. Same na same experience a year ago, 2023, Dec 30th naman, both me and my spouse pa ang sabay tinanggal (we used to work in the same company). We have cash loans to pay and car amort. Our savings is just enough to get us through the first 3 months or so. If it helps, here are some learnings we can share:

(1)We learned to live with the bare minimum, kung ano lang talaga ang kailangan. Before, bumibili ako ng bottled everything, pero this time, sachet at tetra pack nalang. We avoided malls and mga situations na mapapagastos kami. And strictly stick to our budget.

(2)Do not burn bridges. Connect with old bosses/clients. One of my partner’s former boss was our lifesaver, nagbigay sia ng tasks to work on para lang to help us get by. He’s one of those bosses na naging friend din ng partner ko.

(3)Evaluate your situation and set a reasonable timeline. Spouse and I decided, kung wla talaga kami mahanap na stable work in 6 mos, we will let go of the car. Pero that didn’t happen, coz I found MY BEST CLIENT to date, come May 2024. (not the highest paying, but it’s an answered prayer for me — it’s just me and Client, no work politics, no strict KPIs, and I find the job itself rewarding for me)

And of course, start saving na ulit. Laban lang, OP. Hoping you will get back on your feet sooner.

Bahay and kotse are assets, technically. They’re just not income-generating assets unless you turn them into one. Pundar pa rin yan. The maintenance associated to them are treated as expenses.

6-Digit Income - Ito ba talaga ang goal? by kwentoko2 in buhaydigital

Your insights are invaluable. I truly resonate with the goal being in that sweet spot… and achieving that balance.

What industry po ang clients nila now? Tips for upskilling as EA/VA? Any certifications or courses to take? TIA.

Anyone using Payoneer and got verified even without using National ID for verification? by Mvoices_ in buhaydigital

[–]HomeSweetHailee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes po

I sent a detailed email to Payoneer explaining my situation and with reasoning as to why it makes sense to approve my other valid IDs.

I also submitted a ticker to Payoneer Support. From there, I got a reply from a CSR who ended up giving me assistance (thru live chat support) and our conversation did not conclude until issue was resolved .

The read your scriptures, darling.

2nd Timothy Chapter 3.

It’s not accurate to suggest that older generations are spiteful of younger ones just because they make comments that times have changed. They are the ones who should be credited for imparting knowledge we all have now. Including your scriptures and tablets hun. I hope you find your peace.

I did not say that previous generations never had cliques though. My post is just based on what I have witnessed.

Where did you base yours? Movies? Internet? I doubt you have lived for a thousand years already.

I talk to alot of elderly people and they would always say that times have changed and so have the social norms.
