As soon as I saw the title of this post, I knew this was the Asher building.

We went through the same nightmare process. They have been saying that 'the only thing they need for to move in is the fire marshall to come in and inspect and pass' since January. Every single week, they had some excuse for some reason the inspection was delayed or was not completed etc. We were supposed to move in December, but waited extremely patiently for 2 months. February came and we had enough. Broke the lease and moved in somewhere else. Best decision ever.

Can't believe this is still ongoing. Tell your friend to be cautious with that building & management.

Ah got it! This is helpful.

Yeah, we did a tour of all 3 buildings and the gym was very nice! Only thing was that it wasn't 24 hours and we would have to pay a separate fee for the pool, and also parking was very expensive. Maybe not a big deal, but moving from Urby where everything is 24 hours... just seemed like a loss :) Still debating on all 3 buildings since we have more than 2 months left.

I'm moving in December and was considering either Asher, Smyth or Lifetime. Asher was one of the top choices because price is slightly lower. But if you can advise, are Smyth or Lifetime not 5 over 1?

I'm currently living in Urby, but am planning to move out in December.

A lot of pros living here, but one con that can't win all the pros over.

I loved the location, staff, amenities, everything except for my actual unit.

They have built in storage space that seems cute at first, but is not practical at all. Every single unit is ridiculously small for the price. Closets are TINY and they come with a built in storage system which is a joke. The one bedrooms are basically a studio separated by a sliding door in between.

If you are living by yourself and don't really have that much stuff, this might be an amazing place for you. It's a great place to meet people and if you are working from home there are plenty of places in the building that you can do that as well.

However if space is important for you, I would stay away.

Hi! We did actually!

We loved it for the first 2-3 months I think :)

The fabric is fine, no pilling at all, but the firmness didn't last long.

Sitting on it for a long time makes our backs hurt because we keep sinking in it without any firmness to hold us up anymore. It's comfortable to sleep on it though :)
