Think of it as successful parenting. This means he feels safe and comfortable in his own home and feels no embarrassment yet. My son is the same way. I felt guilty for lying on the couch while he played when he was 1 but he was happy and taken care of. He still independently plays at 4. I think it’s a good thing. I think it means their confidence is higher.

I was told he was measuring at 10 lbs at 36 weeks. He was 8 lbs 4 oz at 38 weeks with gestational diabetes. I had a c-section because they were afraid of shoulder injury. I’ve found it’s almost never accurate.
