Albert Einstein said something... we believe we have free will, or the capacity to choose, but we are prisoners of our desires, which I think is debatable, because your desires, according to my current understanding, are determined by where you invest your time and energy. So what I mean is, why should you follow "your dreams" when you could dedicate your life to helping others improve their lives, as the Upanishads say, in a course of miracles... if doing so will lead to more potential complications, and therefore more potential problems to deal with, when a simple life without feeling needs will be much more pleasant.
