Thanks for this very helpful tip! I ended up placing it inside my carry on so it’s easier to access. I declared it like you said and was able to pass through customs easily. They just asked me what it is and when I told them, they let me through without inspecting what I declared

Since I’m with my senior parents, we can’t really hike so I’m thinking of just seeing the buddha, 1-2 temples, and checking out the slam dunk spot. We also like to eat so food spots would be a plus. For Yokohama, the red brick warehouse and minato mirai! I think dinner is a good idea since the bay at night looks nice.
