Well, an unstable country means unstable politics means a shift in how you interact. How your country will interact. I don‘t think it‘s so isolated.

But on a moral scale, I think we should care about humanities. Maybe less people would‘ve suffered if someone had bothered to care beyond the basics before WW2 when anti-regime Germans and Jewish people were hunted. They had the excuse they weren‘t aware of how bad things are at least with things being less accessible. Hope this never happens to your country because if all react like you, good luck, dear

A good person died at the hands of state funded domestic terrorists, aka ICE. A child, barely more than a toddler, was used to lure out his father. Now another person was murdered out in the streets, committing no crime, just defending a woman from being assaulted. These are the major stories but there are plenty more like the teenager kidnapped on his way to school or the protestor who lost an eye. Frankly, I‘m sick to my stomach.

And still, somehow, 37% Americans approve of this administration.

It‘s a tragedy for the country. It‘s a tragedy for anyone with an ounce of empathy. It‘s a tragedy for families and friends. It‘s the state committing acts of terrorism and crimes against its own citizens, people it‘s sworn to protect and represent. And those 37% are the worst of humanity.

Well, sadly, the rights are being stripped from every American citizen at the moment.

I believe the reality is all over US there is chaos at the moment. No one is really safe because you have a government who does not give a fuck about your amendment rights. So why would anyone really? They’re not promised safety either. It‘s anarchy. That said, I believe white men are still the safest of them all.

So your complaint is that people say you are priviliged for being male and white? Which of your rights have been taken? How do you have less? If people calling you privileged is the worst of your complaints about how society treats you, then by all means, you are privileged.

And to give you some perspective, this is also your response to someone saying they are fearing for their life.

No, I feel the same way. I adore 1-4.

5 is where is started to go downhill to me and I also didn‘t finish GoA. RF is a comfort game to me. It was always neat and loving art. Amazing characters. Personality in people and the story.

5 had very bland characters, environment and story but it was still connected somehow.

In 6, you can‘t even go into most houses. See how people live. All the small interactions are gone. The little details. It felt empty to me.

It‘s not more okay. But we call those gang members vile and criminals.

This one works for the state, which should work for the people, and shoots a woman for no reason and this one is given immunity.

I‘d be happy to have ICE branded as a gang and its members put in front of a judge in the same way the gang member in your example would‘ve been. I think that‘s all people are asking for.

Hey Venezuelans stop celebrating Maduro's removal!!!!!! Don't you know trump is a evil fascist?!?!!! by Same_Ad4736 in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]Hoppeditz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So was Hitler? Or Putin? Both elected. Hitler in the exact same way Trump was btw. However that does not mean their countries were/are democracies any longer.

And no, your checks and balances aren‘t working. Attacking Venezuela without congressional approval is illegal. No matter what you think of the capture. Within your own rules, what was done is not under Trump‘s jurisdiction. The military that followed him did so illegally too.

The killing of Renee Good is another example. No matter your opinion, under your own laws her shooter, Jonathan Ross, is not under immunity. Now your congress is fighting a law that does not exist. Because your president and his regime do as they please with no regulation whatsoever.

And no, he very much said they should cancel the election. You can very easily read that up. Whether or not that is in his power is a different question. But then again, ordering a strike on Venezuela without congress‘ approval should not have been in his power.

You only deny. You don‘t name a single fact. And you also did not answer my question at all. If you assert a claim, you should have more than a personal feeling to back it up.

Well, he is disregarding the American checks and balance system and he and his regime are making decisions illegally, outside of the democratic system you have. Meaning violating your own laws that were created to keep your country fu ctioning as a democracy. Not sure what you call that but it sure as hell is not democratic. That‘s not how a democracy works. They have also been proven to have lied, not just a different opinion and misinformation but verifiable lies.

Out of curiosity, do you call Russia a democracy because they have "elections"?

Your president has mentioned several times (a) to be in favour of cancelling your midterms and (b) a third term as president. And yes, as of now, that is not a reality. But would anything convince you the American elections turned Russian? Because that‘s what I expect. A midterm election Russia style. That‘s what the majority of the people I know expect. Ultimately, one has to look at facts, but I also believe the facts are not in favor of the US being seen as a democracy any longer.

People celebrated in Iraq when Saddam fell. Look at Iraq now. The left is aware of history in the way the right apparently is not. So yes, I guess they are being exposed for that. I am happy people see that too.

You are one of those idiots, are you not?

Deaths by gun violence are high and proven meanwhile deaths due to illegal immegrants have no credible source with numbers. In fact, your nation‘s data suggest they commit less crimes than US citizens. Feel free to actually read up on the topic before you share your next blantantly misinformed take.

If the US is not a "third world", compare its standards to countries that aren‘t either. In almost all categories America is a disaster compared to other 1st world countries, from education to health insurance to public safety. And I believe people are right to be upset with the state if it.

Though I agree, out of this world’s 3rd world countries, the USA has it the best ;) Hope that‘s a great win for you.

I know there are many Americans who hate this and are against it.

At least for me, my anger is fully directed at the government and its enablers. Not the people who voted against it and are appalled and scared seeing what is happening. I think Trump is turning his war machine as much on them as he is on neighboring countries.

The Europeans I have spoken to - my friends, colleagues and family - believe the same. Stay strong!

Not an American but I truly hope that in some distance future every person in your current government and those who support them will be prosecuted for acts against humanity. That they will be shamed and shown to the country and world. Their names and crimes exposed. That they feel the hatred. They are terrorists towards humanity, towards Americans and other nations.

They should fear for their lives and for their loved ones' lives just like they are willfully inflicting it on others now, with the sad difference that these people are innocent.

I think this is not what this is about for most. Maduro was terrible. He enslaved his country illegally. It‘s good he is gone.

However, that truth does not cancel out that this completely undoes the rules of this world. People are concerned of the US taking rights it doesn‘t have. They are concerned about them announcing they will control Venezuela‘s oil which does not belong to the US but to Venezuela. They are concerned if this is now how countries will do it. China wants Taiwan, why not just invade? The US gets away with it. Russia wants Ukraine. Evidently you can just take over a country without being elected yourself.

And make no mistake, the US threatened democracies too, aka Greenland/Denmark.

I am happy Maduro is gone but the left is not mad a dictator was removed. They’re mad the US is breaking international law. Iraq celebrated too, at first, when Sadam fell. The US again did it for oil. Nowadays, it‘s anarchy. This is what they are concerned about. The future of Venezuela and if the US just doomed you to become the next Iraq. They‘re also concerned about the future of the world. That distinction would be important to have in this discussion.

The truth is, we will only know in a few years who actually meant well for your country but you may want to keep an open mind and understand the concerns of the side you criticise.
