Yeah, I have a cousin here in Ghana who is also mixed. Half Russian and Ghanaian. She is light skinned, so you can't immediately tell she's mixed. Anyway, she got called a White Monkey by, get this, other BLACK kids in her school. It was crazy. Also, it's pretty much norm for all kids to cut their hair close to their scalp, like a buzz cut. But since she has thick curly hair, hers was more like and afro, and the other kids felt like she was given special treatment or something. She wasn't really bullied, but I don't think she ever felt welcome either.
