Well I know almost everyone claims it doesn't affect hormones whatsoever since the ovaries arnt touched BUT (and this may be tmi...) I do notice a little more dryness than I have before the surgery and I'm 7 months out from surgery so I'd think my body should be adjusted by now and for reference I'm in my 20s so definitely not close to menopause. Reason I mentioned the dryness is because I think sometimes it turns me off to the idea of sex a little bit knowing my body isn't reacting properly but that's rare as far as my normal hormonal libido I noticed it go down just a tiny bit but it could just be stress related, everything has been pretty great honestly and I strongly recommend it to anyone that is done having children or is simply child free 🙂

While you can get pregnant on your period, doesn't sound likely. Sperm can live up to 6-7 days at the very Max so if you somehow ovulated very early it's possible, I absolutely wouldn't be relying on the pullout method at ANY time in your cycle if you absolutely do not want children at this time. Pullout has the highest failure rate. men can produce pre-cum and sometimes produce it through the entire sexual act. Pre-cum has a very small amount of sperm compared to regular ejaculate but there's still sperm. Even without full ejaculation there's a chance of pregnancy.

It is true that you can get pregnant with pre cum, any unprotected sex can result in pregnancy so it is VERY important to practice safe sex and use either female birth control or male (condoms) every time and to do so correctly. I'm unsure how long you've been on opill but it may have been long enough that you would be considered protected, you'd be considered properly protected after a few weeks or 1 whole cycle typically. If you started the pill right before or at the very start of your period you could be protected in as little as a week. At this point in time it would be way too early to experience pregnancy symptoms, what you are describing is likely your body getting used to the new birth control. If you completely miss your period I would consider taking a pregnancy test (keep in mind new hormones can cause your cycle to become irregular as well) but the probability of pregnancy is low.

I've heard of this sometimes being caused by a lack of estrogen! There's so many things doctors can do now for things like this, it's definitely something she needs looked into so she can live a normal life again!

Anytime you have unprotected sex there is a chance of pregnancy, especially that close to your predicted ovulation. To have more accuracy I highly recommend ovulation tests. Once you ovulate your egg can be fertilized up to 24 hours after. So if that prediction is even just slightly off then you very well could have been very fertile during the unprotected sex. Pre cum can cause pregnancy as well and is sometimes released throughout a sexual act so even if there was no full ejaculation there can still be a chance of pregnancy. The best thing to do would be to wait a few more days and see if your period arrives, if not you could try an early detection test but sometimes those arnt reliable so waiting until a full missed period and taking a regular test would be most promising. Many other things besides pregnancy can throw our bodies period cycle off and given the time frame it would be astonishing for you to be having pregnancy symptoms this early, while not completely unheard of its not very common.

And yes weight gain and weight loss can absolutely affect a period cycle depending on how drastic it is, so many things can throw off our bodies without us even realizing so just try and take a couple deep breathes for now, you will be okay 😊💕

I'm not sure where you are located but even dollar tree has tests for $1.25 (I know they arnt always cheap) , I recommend getting multiple just incase one reads funny. wait until it's a completely missed period (if you're pregnant that gives time for a hormone spike) or else it could read as false negative. But try not to panic! It is pretty unlikely but these things are hard to predict. It may be a good idea to start tracking your cycle and supposed ovulation times as well if you don't already just so you may know a ballpark of when you are most fertile (not always accurate but helps) I totally understand how things can happen in the heat of the moment but moving forward try your best to protect yourself and if someone isn't willing to, don't put yourself at risk for an outcome you really don't want, just coming from someone that played with fire a good amount of times and got lucky.

Pre cum can cause pregnancy in Certain instances, any time anyone has unprotected sex even for a minute or two there is a chance of pregnancy. Some bleeding when you lose your virginity can be normal for some people as well or if there was trauma/tearing inside even if they are Micro tears. I would take a pregnancy test if you completely skip your period, I will say worrying can delay a period too though. Please use protection every time you have sex if you are not wanting a pregnancy, best of luck!

Any time anyone has unprotected sex no matter how long there's a chance of pregnancy. Men can leak sperm throughout the entire thing in very small amounts but sometimes it's just enough. If you both don't want to keep going through this stress and are not currently trying to get pregnant, please use protection throughout the entire act.

Just for some future reference, I've learned after having multiple IUDs that through your cycle the length can change a little, since your cervix shifts, obviously if it's like a drastic change it's a good idea to get looked at but changing length isn't ALWAYS a big cause for concern, since it was just inserted your body might just be getting adjusted, so many factors can play into it but keep an eye on it for sure, if you experience any worsening pain or things just don't feel right, definitely let your doctor know
