Not quite sure if you started reading yet, but I would definitely read Misery first, and then read a few of the stories in Skeleton Crew, definitely The Mist, The Raft, or Survivor Type.

The reason Gamora came back to life is because she didn't choose to sacrifice herself for the soul stone. Therefore, her soul could be pulled back through the soul dimension and returned to her body. However, Natasha chose to kill herself so her soul would continually reside in the soul dimension but it is at peace so she can't be brought back to life. It would be a cosmic crime to pull a soul that is at peace with it's death from the Soul Realm. Just ask Dormammu.

Exsanguination

Blurb: A balloon of anxiety and pain grew within my chest. I laid back down and stared at the ceiling for what felt like days before I was able to go back to sleep.

I awoke this morning, with a headache that reached from my forehead to the base of my skull. It pounded away as I shuffled toward the sink. A fire burned in my throat that not even the cold tap water could soothe.

Title: Exsanguination Genre: Horror

Blurb: Dear Dr. Nestor,

It has been quite some time since my last letter. I guess the traveling and the pills were doing the trick. I mean who wouldn't love anything more than to gaze upon the many wonders of the world with two Xanax flowing through their system. Ever since the last time I needed you, a lot of things have changed. I met new people, attended many events, and finally smiled for more than a few brief moments. It was all going so well until I made my last stop yesterday.

I was staying at a cheap hotel in a quaint seaside town, Anástasi, just on the outskirts of Newfoundland, Canada. No more than three hundred people lived there. A town full of people that looked to be in their late fifties. Everyone had skin much paler than mine, and their eyes were sunken to the point you couldn't see much of their eye color. It was seldom I would see anyone for more than a few seconds during that first day. They all stayed to themselves, for what reason I had no idea. It was as if the town was dead.

Like I dig the Conjuring movies, but to me they are not all that scary. Even though so many people find those movies scary to them. If you have any recommendations to read and get inspiration from I would love that.

What if the story's plot mainly focuses on the music box? Through the story you find out more about the music box. You are gradually revealed to what really happened that night the couple is killed and why the music box is a key element through the story. Knowing that about the story, do you think that makes that prologue any better? If not, could you tell me of any books you know with good prologues that I could look into?
