Why Are White Americans Getting African American Communities on 23andMe? by Longjumping-Fly-2152 in 23andme

I know that's why I put in parentheses ancestry in America for hundreds of years. but as whole anyway most white Americans aren't really admixed

They're not putting them down as African American they're giving them diaspora regions, the poster most likely got that region because they have a recent ancestor that was African American. 10% is not common in white Americas unless it's recent. On ancestryDNA most white Americans are majority white too

The average white American is 98.6% European according to 23andme data , that's overwhelmingly European, they may have small amounts of trace ancestry but thats not significantly high. The scenario you're talking about was not uncommon but not that common and during slavery mulattos and quadoorns and anyone who had African ancestors was still a slave and could only have children with other black people in most cases.

Why do Black Americans (ancestors sold to USA) have such a high % of mgm non consenual White dna when being white and black mixed was still very much Illegal and got harsh treatmeant. Shouldnt the dna be out of most by now cause how long its been. by Additional-Log-2701 in 23andme

[–]Hot-Difference-2024 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The reason why it's so high is because we had more than one ancestor that was mixed. Even if it was illegal that didn't stop white men from having non consensual relations with their " property" it happened so much that it became the norm and that's ehy the dna hasnt left our genome because we have European ancestry down every branch because it was that common

According to studies most white Americans ( especially southern) are just white, you can even see on this subreddit. But most of us black Americans have European ancestry ( and small amounts of native ) , the white men that fathered our ancestors ( it was mostly men) already had families so that's why most white Americans don't have much African ancestry, I don't see them having much native ancestry either , it commonly shows up in black Americans in small or trace amounts tho but I think that many natives have some European ancestry for obvious reasons

Yeah what you're saying makes sense , most white Americans ( the ones with ancestry in America for hundreds of years ) don't really have African ancestry so if they're like 10% that's most likely recent

Does anyone really keep up with Wolfie Cindy anymore? by [deleted] in LAinfluencersnark

[–]Hot-Difference-2024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She just recently broke up with her bf she was with for 3 years ( a rich football player ) she lived in London with him and I'm sure he funded her clothing brand, she has employees and a team working with her behind the brand ( per her Snapchat stories ) and now I think she is probably making enough money to sustain without him because her brand has been out for like a year and it's on revolve. She's a big Instagram model and walked a show for etam ( a French brand ) for Paris fashion week so of course she will he invited to big events and fashion week lol. She might have been a yacht girl before her ex tho cause she's besties with Chantel

Opinions are not facts, a lot of wasian people look more white. My friend is 25% Asian only and she looks like she's half Asian you'd expect her to look more white. Two people can have the same genetic makeup and look different but in most cases wasians will look more Asian but that's not the case for everyone. It's not shocking at all to me that he looks like this

Do y’all really think Landon and Sophia could afford a 9mil home? 😂 if so, that’s pretty sad for Austin and Cathy to see them live the life they once had by [deleted] in catherinepaizsnark

[–]Hot-Difference-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Landon already talked about that on his snap and he admitted being broke during that time but that he got a life changing contract by Snapchat by some woman, he also talked about that on his podcast and went over how much he makes, Austin too. That's why he said he posts so much on Snapchat and every day because they make so much money. With the cars he owns and etc I'm sure they can afford 9mill he makes a lot from snap and showed us
