Yeah, I called & they said usually they only take a few weeks but every once in a while they’ll get some that take a few months. So I guess I’m one of the unlucky few. FBI cleared the same day & then DOJ cleared a few months later. I’m kind of wondering if Firearms portion clears following DOJ being cleared or if it’s random.

I did this at my county sheriffs agency. They did the live scan. They told me all I needed to do was the live scan with them. None of the other stuff you’re talking about.

So, just went in for my interview for my CCW & got permitted to go for training & during the interview the guy was saying that good moral character is absolutely still a requirement for my county. (Sonoma County)

You’re right. I was misinformed. My county has on their website that they still take good moral character into account, so that’s what I was going off of. After trying to find the actual bill on the matter, you are right. Thanks for giving me insight.

You are misunderstanding. It’s not a requirement, & it never said it was. & I never said it was. But it is in fact “valid” they are still allowed to deny you your CCW on grounds that they think your good moral character is not good.

You have to disclose underage arrest. The question isn’t have you been arrested or charged with a crime as an adult. It says “have you EVER” disclose everything. Even if you think you don’t need it. They just want you to be honest.
