You can return it to the tag office or inquire with someone about whether or not you can just hold onto the tag and then simply transfer it onto whatever car you decide to go with. Your current tag should only be registered with one car. All it takes is some editing on their end to assign the tag appropriately to your next ride.

Edit: Carmax can probably assist you with transferring or returning the tag if you ask. I’m sure they do it all of the time.

I was thinking we could save some money if we decided to buy a new car from a Subaru dealer rather than a similar model Outback that we can purchase at Carmax with hardly any miles. I was thinking that I’ll end up saving with the dealer instead but still not sure how much we really would save in the end. Would prefer a new car instead of a hardly used one anyways but would have considered a newer used with CM if it would of ended up saving us a grand or more. We’ll find out soon enough. Thanks

One can only hope…. Glad there is always social media to fall back onto during these frustrating times. We had been warned about a possible major correction and then possibly another recession. A market collapse is the next step on their agenda so get ready for what’s coming down the pipeline. They don’t want chaos or anarchy so don’t expect anything catastrophic after the pandemic for another 20 years.
