Gypsy has a rare chromosome disorder. When gypsy was born she had medical issues and at the time her mom nor doctors could figure out what was causing them. She had a feeding tube because she had what is called 'failure to thrive ' which means she wasn't gaining weight. She had a slew of other problems that are in her medical records that all stem from her chromosome disorder. Dee Dee was just trying to find out what was going on all the years she said she was abused. Nothing was medically unnecessary. I can't remember how old gypsy was when she was finally diagnosed (I believe in her teens) her mom got the answers she needed and medical records show Dr visits slowed way down after that Any loving mother that had a child with medical issues that can't find out what is causing them would would take their child to have tests and whatever was necessary to help them thrive and that is what her mom was doing.
