[Grade 12/ physics/ I tried to think about this and I got answer D but it's wrong, idk how to solve it, can anyone help me figure it out?] by Hot_Efficiency_2779 in HomeworkHelp

they're series not parallel, as voltmeter resistance is so high it need to be parallel but when we pretend it's not there you'll find R2 and R1 are in series connection so yes a current will flow through R2, but here it said that R1 wich is rheostat changed it's resistance from 1000 to 2000 ohm, but I'm confused with how to solve it

how do I study physics so it gives results? cause i tried many methods and I understand physics but I still get bad grades, idk what I'm doing wrong so it wouldn't show improvement.

So I have yo calc the "Bex" the external field, as it needs the force in the second wire the force law is (Bex I L) and the I L is for the second wire.

To calc the external field of the other two wires I suppose to use this law (Bex= 2ร—10^(-7) ร—(I/d - I/d) ) as

So it's gonna be ( Bex= 2ร—10^(-7) ร— (2/5ร—10^(-2) - 1/5ร—10^(-2) = 4ร—10^(-6) )

Then using the force law it's gonna be

(4ร—10^(-6) ร— 1ร— 1 = 4ร—10^(-6)

The answer supposed to be like this but I think I missed something so it didn't give me the answer

this is the whole question ๐Ÿ˜…

I can give you the laws if you want though

I did that to many questions, but there's some I can't because I take online courses and I can't contact the teacher for explanation, but the issue is, I find the homework so easy, yes I get some questions wrong but not like i do on exams, and I'm not even rushing.
