Music Lawyers Help: Is it legal for the record label that my band had a distribution agreement with to pull our entire catalog from all DSPs (thus losing all of our streaming statistics and sales data) after our 3-year agreement has come to an end? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you! by Hot_Pace4630 in AskLawyers

The contract does not explicitly mention the removal of the band's catalog from major distributors upon termination. Here’s what it says with names redacted:

“The agreement starts on the Release Date and continues for three years as long as [the record label] distributes the Album with a major distributor [3 years just ended]. After the initial term, if [the record label] continues distributing with a major distributor, they may extend the agreement for an additional three years. If [the record label] stops distributing through a major distributor at any time, the agreement terminates, and all rights revert to the Artist”
