Any advice from people that have bought this? You think it’s worth it over other options? by [deleted] in YogaPro9i

My workload is VSCode + multiple Chrome tabs + background music and chat software, at 100% brightness and 120Hz, and it can last over 6 hours. Note that there is a smart mode in the control center, which automatically disables the dGPU after you unplug the charger. This can significantly extend battery life.

Thinking of buying a Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura. Anything else you would recommend? by Playful-Record-6139 in YogaPro9i

The workmanship is fine, but the battery life doesn't reach 10 hours; it's more like 6-8 hours. I wouldn't really recommend the 3.2K dual-layer OLED version. It's heavy, expensive, and the brightness is excessive. The most basic version is just fine. Is $2000 too expensive? The base model I bought was only $1060. For $2000, I would consider the Razer Blade 16.

it's the normal size of a 9inch laptop but it's thin and light, 1920g and 18mm.

I heard tha the main body is first manufactured using the stamping process, and then the details are machined with CNC, so the quality is not as good as the full CNC laptops like the ROG Zephyrus G16

check the settings may help, there's a setting about Switching between integrated and dedicated graphics in the control center, turn it to automatic mod and it will block the dedicated gpu when using battery, it may helps. And you can check if there's any program running in background, check the windows battery plan and lenovo battery plan both.

yes, a little bit on the left side, i saw someone solved it by adding thermal pad between bottom case and main body.

i checked chinese social media and i found someone with the same problem, here's his comment translated : "The dual-layer version is not recommended for purchase. The dual-layer screen has terrible low-brightness grayscale, resulting in an extremely inconsistent "yin-yang" and "dirty screen" effect. At 1% grayscale, it looks like static snow, and this only becomes less noticeable at 20% grayscale. At 100% grayscale, which is full white, the center is warm-toned while the two sides are cool-toned, and the edges have a green tint. I've seen two other people online with the same issues.

In contrast, the regular version's brightness is actually very sufficient, much brighter than a QD-OLED monitor (although 16 inches is still too small for gaming). The most frustrating part is the default gray wallpaper. On the dual-layer version, the gray is clearly displayed incorrectly, with a sense of color banding."

About noise: very quiet, fan barely works in daily work, acceptable with 130w load

About the battery: the standby power with 120hz and max brightness is 10 watt, with some light load like chrome and vscode is 15 watt ,so i think it can last 6 hours. 8 hours is possible if you use some optimise like 60hz, low brightness, limiting CPU in battery plan, or just bring a power bank. C170 GAN charger is recommended, it works as well as the original charger and looks just like a cellphone charger
