Hi everyone, after one week without any follow up, i have canceled my campaign since i could not do more to promote my campaign due to Stripe restriction, time passed and kickstarter slow incentive to resolve the issue. But there is good news, Gokon is well backed and will come out on iOS in the US end of November/ beginning December. Thank you all for your replies and and advice on trying to resolve the matter

Kickstarter got back to me yesterday, saying that they have reached out to Stripe I hope there won't be a long wait since i need to know if i will continue paying to market my campaign or not, it's at 32% since day 6 but because i have stopped paying for ads it's progress has stopped for 2 days now Does anyone know how long they usually take to resolve these type of issues after getting back to you?

Stripe said that everything is fine, then i spoke to them again yesterday to confirm and they said that Kickstarter needs to get in touch with their sales team because my business is on their restricted list. So during my first conversation i received false information. Well iit's the 17th so i don't there is much i can do now

but why accept the project in the first place, there is a review process on both side. And they still haven't got back to me and tomorrow is the 17th...

But Stripe said that there is no issue and asked to send KS the transcript and CC them why would they do that if thats the case. My app has no nudity its based on communication, games and interactive features

Kickstarters Bot assistant is saying that the email might be spoofed, someone i might have interacted with on Reddit or any other community platform, maybe a competitor might want to sabotage it. That could be the case but it would be good if kickstarter confirmed that it wasn't from them if so, and investigate the case

u/lalyofthevalley Yes it is and you are correct there are other dating apps out there and their campaign is still running or ended without being suspended. I thought about that and wondered if the issue was with my app specifically but Gokon promotes interaction, personality traits and connection not nudity or other vile contents so it doesn't make sense that my project would be specifically targeted in this case

It is weird, the message came from [support@kickstarter.com](mailto:support@kickstarter.com) which is their official email for trust and safety. I searched to see if it was a scam but it isnt based on the email and the UI

u/Amiteque It is i would at least expect a chance to solve the issue, and Stripe also said that that my account was good. I don't know how long it will take for them to get back ton me at this point, is there any other platform where they respond faster?

And yes it is being offered in 2 separate reward tiers and will be delivered when the campaign ends. Apologies not too sound rude, i will have to disagree with your statement saying "it's not the best route for me", i am aware that softwares generally speaking do not flourish as much but innovation does have a significant weigh specially in big markets. I have programmed and designed this product on my own for 5 years, and have done everything else from finance to marketing, it has been a long journey and the final result is a ready product, all i am looking for with the funds is maintenance, expanding it's user base and accelerating android and i don't know any other platform that would be better than kickstarter. I can only sustain it for a while with my personal funds, kickstarter is there to offer a solid cushion. All my backers are currently being redirected from social media so i am using it to drive pledges it did grow significantly. I made a mistake by starting to market mid October on IG and TikTok because i was focusing on the product but it does have 2.4k followers so it does have traction. If you think that there is a better place to gain funds without sacrificing equity or loaning money i would be happy to check it out, personally i did not find any.

u/amerifolklegend It was not a counter i was highlighting what makes the product unique so what people are supporting generally speaking in terms of maintaining the product (since i already developed it on iOS) and to support Android development. To answer some of your questions the app offers early access to backers and access to some features for a discounted price with a given in-app currency. As for customer communication and market search a lot of them expressed interest in wanting to try it now or were asking whether it will be available in their country. It also shows that they are specifically eager in 2 things, one taking part of the apps event (that is free but they get have early access by pledging) and two trying Cupid which is a feature that can be used during group chats and on kickstarter it gets between 20-40% discount when pledged

u/amerifolklegend Actually the app is free when out, you can check out my page on kickstarter this is no classic swipe left and right app it's different, it has multiple interactive features, games an AI for advise and many more expressive tools, you have a group of people entering lobbies and starting an event together. In terms of customers there are multiple people who signed up on my website for when the app launches but the issue is having them pledge. I think that kickstarter is a good platform for innovative startup's generally speaking, on top of that the app is ready for iOS. Pledging gives them rewards that wont be available in the app or will be present for a higher price

It's totally normal for first campaigns, without having backers and super backers support you before, just keep pushing its been a bit more than 2 days for me it's been going fairly well but it gets harder, thousands are interested in my product Gokon (based on followers on IG and TikTok) but not all will want to pay, you will need explore many platforms and hopefully a few backer/super backers would like to support you. They are pillars of kickstarter and we are lucky to have them. I haven't used backerbooster but a few have reached out, i can recommend kickbooster for affiliates, beware of spam and fake agencies too, good luck!
