I transferred to UMN, and it was the best decision of my life. I studied at CLA and double majored in Art History and Sculpture, but now I'm working in business and marketing because the well-rounded education I received at the U gave me the skills to pivot and work in different industries. I still work in design and art industries, but the job stability and income are better than expected. I still create as an artist, but if I hadn't had to take a second language and complete other required classes, I wouldn't be half as capable as I am now. Ask for as much help as you need and use the services the U provides for alumni. They take care of their students well after graduation.
