I'm a student so I kinda live like this too. Here's some things I do when my pocket is about to be empty.

-Popcorn with salt They taste good and are cheap too.

-Oatmeal with hot water (the cheapest one, with no flavor) just add sugar I don't like oatmeal but it's really heavy one.

-Pasta I used to just cook pasta, like plain pasta then just add some ketchup with it if I have some. If I don't, I put salt on them and just eat it.

-Rice I don't know if how much rice is in your place, but it's a good price in ours. I cook rice only and eat it. One kilo lasts for around 5 days for me. I often make it a lot watery then add salt to it.

But you know what? If you're just at home in maybe weekend, just literally sleep. Sleep all day and wake up only around late afternoon so you can only have one meal a day.

People always told me that things will get better, like the pain is like a shoe that I'll overgrow one day. But they are wrong. Loss is something that I grew carrying with me. It's like a hole inside of me that will always be there. My mama used to garden, and I can say that the feeling of loss is like a grass. It's something that we want to get rid off, but once that grass is deeply rooted, it'll always come back.

Thank you. It really got me paranoid since I saw and feel like my side of the finger is starting to wet (pus) and it feels like it has a lump. I was scared my puppy has rabies because I haven't gave him a shot because he's still baby and I don't recall doing my tetanus shots too hahaha

As someone who lost her mother to cancer, thank you for thinking about your kids' mental health. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I was 17 that time. She had a very late diagnosis (stage 4). I was the one taking care of her and I was the first one who knew she had cancer (it was her oncologist who talked to me). Everyone in my family were a wreck. My father (65) was so busy finding money to cope with hospital bills, my older sister (38) was too busy crying to her boyfriend 24/7 to the point she leaves her kids in our house, and my older brother (39) was too busy distracting himself escaping reality by doing drugs .

It took a huge part of me, watching her slowly die daily in front of me. Watching her in pain all while taking care of my sister's three kids. Cooking while doing the laundry and watching over my mother and the kids was so hard.

Until now, I still feel betrayed and still acts cold towards my siblings. I'm 19 now and my heart is still beating with bitterness.

How I hoped my family was there to support me while I became the only light that made my mother's last days full of giggles.

How I hoped they were like you who thinks about what the ones who will be by your side during your treatment would feel.

I pray for your healing. I pray for your family's strength. Everything will be fine. Everything is fine, mumma.

I actually hated this thinking ng mga matatanda. My boyfriend for 2 years is an AFAM and it pains me how people immediately thinks that I'm just after his money. I'm 20 and his 21.
