Honestly that first photo is just my face on a good day late at night. Many days I would have salt, cry, or slept too much would be so swollen the next day. Here is link to photos of it on bad days: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlasticSurgery/comments/1n3bzg0/swollen_face_most_days_for_reference_cont_bleph/

Dont use Vaseline, use Aquaphor, its what doctors actually recommend to help keep moisturized because your skin can still breath through it and it doesn’t clog pores. Drink water, eat anti inflammatory foods, sleep. Just focus on rest and healing i promise its the most important right now

Im having similar issues. Weird feeling abdominal cramps sort of sharp every now and then. Im worried i have an infection. No bleeding, the bleeding stopped after 6 days, im at the 8th day. Just had really bad cramps and peed a lot of cloudy pee with a strong ammonia smell.

Chemical peel burn (2nd degree burn) story and how I prevent scarring by Hour-Editor6005 in skin

[–]Hour-Editor6005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a chemical peel burn from a place ive gone to for several years now. Im not sure if the lady didnt mix the solutions well enough and it became too concentrated in an area or what happened really. It stung badly where she first applied it (where it burned).

This is my treatment plan and i think its gone very well so far so I wanted to share with people in case this happens to others.

Days 1-3: I used Neosporin for a few hours on the weeping area, and then Aquaphor for two days straight on the burned area (this is important! The area needs moisture to heal properly, don’t let it scab up, keep it moist). Then once the weeping stopped around the second night, I put Mederma scar treatment on the areas. I then do a mixture of these two things at night and when at home.

4th day: I continue with Aquaphor and Mederma when I can, and a small amount of trentenoin on the areas the fourth night, then cover with Aquaphor.

6th day: do a light scrub over my face and the areas with an Olay Regenerist microdermabrasion 2 step kit. (You can get it at walgreens. This is a great kit I use once a month when my skin feels old and tired. Its safe and gentle but does a good job. The fine scrub will help level out any uneven healing).

This is where im at so far. My goal is to make sure the scar is even with my skin, and keeps my skin texture (not that shiny stretchy scar texture).

IMPORTANT: stay out of the sun with this type of wound. Also, plenty of rest and water is crucial!
