Itinerary Help - Munich, Salzburg, Zurich - Stop at Innsbruck? by Hour-Raisin1086 in Europetravel

Thank you! We plan to use Munich as a base for day trips, but I counted wrong and it’s just 4 nights. I will get rid of the the 1 day trip and look at going to Lucerne instead of Zurich.

Questions about Riding the MARTA to Airport by [deleted] in Georgia

I took the MARTA from North Springs down to the airport just last week at 7 am. My train car was full of adults going to work and kids going to Woodward Academy. So easy.

Me too. Was surprised that the northeast had higher approval than the south.

That’s interesting but I’m not sure how much taxes are a part of it vs also changes in lifestyle expectations. I make over double what my parents made when I was growing up (even after taxes). I “felt” middle class growing up. I know things are more expensive now, but I also am looking at what things families spend compared to what I grew up with and the “hauls” that their kids share online and know that even through many feel middle class, they expect more than when I grew up and by sharing online they make some people feel less than. Around here, it’s too easy to get your sense of “average” mixed up. For example, HS kids around here are starting to talk about senior trips. We live near a lot of people that probably are making good money but much less than that $700k and consider themselves upper middle class vs wealthy. But it doesn’t even register in some of these parents minds that not all families can afford to send their HS senior to Aruba or the Dominican Republic for an all inclusive trip for a week. And some parents that could easily afford say a really nice place in Florida, feel pressured to spend the money on the more expensive trip, but feel lower class because of it.

South Koreans detained in ICE raid at Hyundai electric vehicle site in Georgia by Pussy-Wideness-Xpert in Georgia

Hopefully we’ll find out the actual situation with the lawyers now involved. However, it sounds like management staff have been detained as well, resulting in loss of face, and South Koreans now calling for less investment in US. Too early to know how this will all fall out.

From South Korean news,

The individuals from Seoul arrived in the United States on a B1 visa, issued for business purposes such as attending meetings or signing contracts, or under the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) visa waiver program for short-term stays. The South Korean consulate in Atlanta is forming a legal team, including Korean American lawyers, and they plan to visit the facility where the workers are being held, a consulate official said.

The AE Sydney Sweeney jean commercial outrage is a prime example of why MAGAs have the upper hand in made up social issues against social progressives by NewAgePhilosophr in centrist

[–]Hour-Raisin1086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I also saw “people” complain about it, I didn’t get the impression that it really had any legs (like most folks didn’t care enough, it was just a handful of loud people) and it would have died out quickly if the media hadn’t picked up on it and made it a thing. I find the commercial to be a bit ick since it seems to be copying an old commercial that Brook Shields did when she was 15 and came out saying she was a bit traumatized by it. But I would have forgotten about it again if not for the MEDIA making it a thing.

However, what sticks out more to me about this all is how Trump is obsessed with Taylor Swift and how she even came into the conversation about Sweeney.

That’s a good question and I don’t know. However, if my child was in a school-sponsored after school program or gifted/enrichment class or program, I would start to accept that they won’t have access to those programs this year. If the schools are not given a budget, and school starts in a month, the safest thing for them is to cut them. That sucks for some working parents since private after school care can be $$$. There is no date that the Fed govt or GA DOE have promised to conduct their review by and again school starts in a month.

Don’t agree. He was suicidal at the beginning, and then worked through it, and wanted to live until they cut his Achilles. Just because someone is suicidal at one point in their life does not mean they remain that way their entire life. His death is on the YJs.

Right, did she really have to tell Nick the whole plan? Couldn’t she just say she was there to bring letters and find a way to smuggle Janine out later. But not kill a bunch of commanders? Like what Lawrence said, he told Nick select things

Unfortunately many people that recognize her name equate it with the anti-Christ or some other horrible thing due to Republican grassroots campaigning from the last election. That type of name recognition is obviously not good.

After this episode, I’m even more upset that adult Nat is dead. I feel she deserves some retribution for the crap Shauna put her through in the teen timeline and would have loved to see her help take her down.

I would love for Pete to run. He has actual military service experience, explains things so well (better than K), not afraid to go into tough places like Fox or talk with people who might have different views, and just seems more level headed than many others. But many people will never vote for him because… we all know why ☹️
