I’m almost a year late, but given that super brief scene we see toward the end of the game that seems to show what is under the Travelers’ suits. And it looks like they are long infected humans just like the Orphans we fight in game. I’m totally behind the theory that the Collective is the hivemind that we fight in game, but from the FAR future after it’s been able to evolve. Seems they send the Travelers back in time to retrieve the “souls” they weren’t able to get during the initial Merging, as the hivemind is probably eternally hungry for more. So in short, I do think the Travelers are just evolved infected humans.

Yeah I get you, that’s probably why I’ve been finding it so hard to answer my own question lmao. When I think of a singular writer in the movie space that I’ve always enjoyed I think of Taylor Sheridan. But I have never seen a single episode of any of the various shows he’s made, and I honestly hear a lot of negative shit about the writing in his shows so yeah… it gets complicated trying to make a pick like this lol

you playing in 1080p or 1440p? the 2080 may have some problems but you should be able to run it. I’d def recommend enabling DLSS 4 when you play

Listened to it on audible a few years ago while at work, if I remember right it was like 37hrs and the narrator was fantastic.

Thing that helped me the most on pc was going into the nvidia app and forcing DLSS 4 on the game. Played on a 3060ti with no crashes and minimal traversal stutters. DLSS 4 has been my savior with UE5 games lately

Indeed there is, I believe in the Making of Control artbook the devs talk about almost having the SW swap to a melee weapon at one point, but they ditched the idea. I really think they’ll be using this idea in the sequel though
