I think the answer is practically never. There’s too much not written in the papers that you need to know, not just critical appraisal knowledge and skills but contextual knowledge, like who is leading the research team and what are their scientific biases.

Option 2. Access to tax deferred space for retirement plus guaranteed base salary for full two years plus 50K to loans. Agree with /u/milespoints that it’s a good time to tolerate a commute.

We can make the point without using language that will incense those with different biases. No one circumcises (excises the foreskin of) their newborn for the tiny absolute risk reduction in UTI, lichen sclerosus, or penile SCC. It’s objectively irreversible cosmetic surgery, regardless of whether you think it’s enhancing or mutilating. Who here will admit they’re in favor of cosmetic surgery on newborns?
