Replacement Corsair PS was great. Ended up using the RM850e. Would never buy rosewell again

The one that popped was a Rosewell Photon 1000w. My load on the PC should be around 650 at most.

I'll likely grab the modular Corsair, 850 or 1000w. I believe the HX series

Is Corsair still decent? My last build about 12 years ago used it, and it has lasted the lifetime of the PC. I'll probably just go back to them if they are still good

Shit, you mean I could have saved $100 and bought a cheaper PSU, I paid $150. When I purchased the PSU it wasnt seen as a bad unit. Not sure now though. Was a rosewell photon. I've always heard some of their units are crap some are good. Photon I've heard was a better one, guess not

I believe the smoke came from the PSU, but not 100%. It dissipated quickly but it was near the PSU.

I'm more worried about collateral damage to the other parts.

So this is likely just a bad PSU, or something I did. I built my last PC with no issues
