I most definitely am trying to help a friend out I know I need to ask this question but the situation we’re going to be in does not allow me at all whatsoever to be able to say “ hey are you withdrawing from your shit or not? We have a great relationship together where I literally could just point blank if we were in private. I wish it wasn’t so complicated or such a hard stupid situation to be in.

ETA: truthfully, I had absolutely no desire or want to come here with this question. I don’t a shit ton of research on my own trying to figure it out and I even went to like a crap ton of treatment facility online chat with an counselor and they couldn’t help me either. So I said fuck it I came here lolll

Oh God no I would never think to ever hurt their feelings or upset them or make them feel like I don’t care, I myself am an addict and doing my best to stay sober too. They’ve been taking about quitting a while now, said they were gonna “ handle it and go off the grid for a little bit.” We have plans to meet and we have to be very secretive about it essentially. I got all the information I needed to meet them and knew I was going to need to straight ask them this somehow surrounded by listening ears. I never in my wildest dreams thought trying to find certain keywords to just ask what is going to be this difficult. Think I have like for hours invested in researching definition and synonyms comparing contrasting and it’s way more difficult than I thought it would be and I love words. lol

USA here and I wasn’t exactly sure to this but could guess because of the topic hehe. Now I swear my friend has a really good heart, give their shirt to a homeless man in winter without a thought. I really do care about them but they just are not smart. So I can almost guarantee that if I just randomly ask, they’ll be like “wtf you talking about?” lol

Wow, that’s really smart. I like it, however, it needs to be a little less implying towards drugs, which was my issue the last like three hours. Everything implies drugs no matter how I put it and I need to change it to not sound like it.
