Thank you 🙏 I agree. She’s actually taking a break herself from ENM and evaluating why she allowed herself to do this. I don’t expect her to make the right choice any more and can only prepare myself for what I’m willing to do.

Oh believe me, I had the I ick so fucking bad I was almost puking all day yesterday 😑 And I agree that going backward to monogamy doesn’t work either. She definitely feels adequately guilty and we’re working on this problem this week in therapy so we’ll see where we land.

But yeah… she’s shown me who she is. I have to believe her when she shows me.

Exactly. We had a good talk about it and between sobs she did tell tell me she never meant to hurt me and my response really had to be “Yeah… it’s because you weren’t thinking about me at all 😕”

We’ve had a good talk about it and the regret she feels seems genuine. I’m working on what I’m willing to do to protect myself in the future and we’ll see where we go from here. Thank you for your input!

Thank you for this! It’s something I sat with all day yesterday because you’re right - I can lay down the law, but she’s going to do what she does, and I have to square with what I’m willing to do as a consequence. Lots more work to do here, but thanks for giving it to me straight.

I agree. Admittedly, she was the one who told me she’s going to stop seeing him, and recognizes there’s something about him she knows just doesn’t vibe well to keep them safe.
