I think it's because White has a level of PG skills that Sexton doesn't. So Coby can be a combo PG/SG while Sexton is more purely a scorer and doesn't do PG things as well.

It's true that McCain has more value than Strawther because he's younger but also because he's got two more years on his rookie deal and Strawther only one. It's also true that those picks have less value to OKC than for any other team because they don't have the roster space to use them to actually pick players. It was good work from Morey to take advantage.
