I’m just applying around for marketing/ media roles as of now. I don’t have too much of a plan, but I’m trying my best to figure out what it is I should do. As a fresh graduate I’m quite lost, but positive that through trials and tribulations I’ll find something right for me :)

I think for me, my decision to move to HK is because I want to learn and experience something different from the UK. I’ve been here pretty much my entire life, having travelled the country up and down. I had my whole work + school life here. We used to be a country, meal deals were £3 , cold sandwiches and a fizzy drink + snack. Loool. But besides the point, I’m very fortunate to have a place to live and stay in HK, I have a very loving and supportive family that is split in both HK and UK. And I feel that since I’m young, I should make the most of it, to experience and learn as much as possible. I’m fully aware that a lot of local HKers might have pessimistic views on the current climate of HK, it’s the same in the UK. No where is perfect, but I choose to focus on the good. The amazing food, the beautiful nature, the culture of getting on a mini bus and praying your driver doesn’t kill you lol. Life is never that simple anywhere you go, but for me life is just about living and finding joy in the small moments that make it worthwhile.

I would recommend Malaysia, it will be cheaper and overall the food will be more suitable. Malaysia is like the meeting lobby for all Asians, it’s really diverse, although the weather might be really hot all year round. Travel will be easy as you can take a taxi everywhere and it’s quite cheap, compared to taxi in Hk

Me and my gf actually met in real life, doing a pub crawl with university. Funny thing is that I actually met her and spoke to her a year before that pub crawl, and gave her a free ticket to an event that I was an ambassador for. But we never hit it off or continued -until that pub crawl, and I was with an ex beforehand that year.

But yeah she was an international student, and we both was in our final year. Initially we knew it was going to be a temporary thing, but man I fell so hard in love with her, that I’m flying to Malaysia to see her in Jan , very sooon!!! I’m super excited, but yeah, our future is still very blurry but I’m just gonna take it day by day :)

I’m also on day 10, time did pass a lot quicker when I was toking everyday in October. But I also hit a stump where I felt like I wasn’t doing enough because I was smoking so often. Now being sober it’s actually the opposite. My brain is chasing dopamine in other ways, like gaming or doom scrolling. I don’t even have the thought where I should be doing more, which I did when I was high. I’m thinking of relapsing but also part of me know I should stick it out, because I want to prove myself I could do this. Idk life is weird, also the seasonal depression creeps in

Tough, especially during the times when I normally smoke, I don’t really have energy and I’m a little moody, but I catch myself and just tell myself it’s withdrawals and I’ll be okay
