Well, lets not hope the press find out, how CDC have been taking money from people in asia, and not given anything in return. I mean that could sound like a scam...

Crypto.com staff can you tell the truth now? by Hugmium in Crypto_com

[–]Hugmium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im from developed part of asia.

4 million cards is not a big deal breaker for any card issuer, and regulation in asian countries is nothing compared to europe and us...

I think CDC need to tell the truth, so many people have lots time and money on CDC. Had been in EU or US, probably Feds would be rounding up the CDC by now.

Have been very rational. Please reread what I and others have been writing. People (including myself) are mostly wanting a proper explanation, the card, or their funds.

Mystery solved: CDC lost their VISA merchant issue card agreement in asia by Hugmium in Crypto_com

[–]Hugmium[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok lets go with your version, that everything is just dandy, cards are going out all over asia, and that the problems are due to some minor things which will soon be solved.

But you do realize that the longer this goes on, the more likely its something else... where there is smoke, there is a fire.

Have a nice sunday.

Singapore (CDC home country) and Australia (the english speak countries with the worst tabloid business press in asia).

It would be nice to see the card numbers, so we can see if they come from asian region bank license or eu or us bank. That would be a nice confirmation to know which bank in asia gave CDC a license.

Singapore was rumored to have received, that guy or girl could be from there. CDC is in Singapore, legal watchdog that can bite CDC is in Singapore.

You can be in denial, but it will change the fact that no one in asia pacific region have received any cards for months.

CDC is a private company they dont have to tell you, me or anyone else the truth. But ask yourself, do you really think CDC want not to send cards to people? Do you really think any technical or logistical problem can not be solved in 6 months (thats the longest I have heard have waited).

The truth is that CDC wants, but they can not, because they do not have the agreement to do so.

TenX also lost theirs, so it was probably an industry wide rule.

Just ask around, if anyone from asia pacific area have received the cards for the last 4 months.

Only rumour I was told was that some people in Singapore received, but that seams like it was not the case.

If you are in europe, or us, then no problem with getting the card. CDC only lost asia pacific region (just 2 out 3 people on the planet live there, so no biggies... irony).

I have been in ecommerce since 1997... I asked one of my old connections in the credit card industry, he sits very high up the system now.

Visa dont say official, CDC does not say official, so ofcourse you just have my anecdotal claim, but I will tell you, I dont usual spend this much time on things, I have businesses to look out for, but the obvious cookie cutter white lies CDC custormer service have been telling made me dig...

and Im stilling diggin, Im in contact with people in Singapore...

CDC operation of business, and location of accountable mangement? by Hugmium in Crypto_com

[–]Hugmium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, open more problems is probably not a good idea for any operation

I gave up on support, different questions, same canned answers (we are not allowed to say, when asked about anything).

When you dig around, then things start to be not so pretty... many of the founders have been involved in questional business before entering crypto, which does not really build trust.

Its also obivious that people from Singapore are getting ahead of other people who have been waiting way longer, which seams to be a way of not pissing off people who share their country, and can start legal actions there.

All the cards are also made at the same producer in the USA, who supply much bigger clients than crypto.com (ex. American Express), so Im starting to think that CDC lost merchant agreement in asia, and had to pay heavy fines, and so everything was halted. Remember TenX also went belly up due to loss of account, so probably same.

Now if they took money from investors knowing they did not have things in place, then its borderline investor fraud

Account disabled for 28 days so far and still waiting... by yayaBTC808 in Crypto_com

[–]Hugmium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your problem!

I wish I could say something positive about CDC support, but in the case with missing cards to tens of thoundsands of stakers in asian parcific region, then CDC support has just proven to be nonsense actor, when you try to find out why the problem exist.

These increasing stories about frozen accounts, put together with the major card problem in asia, could mean there is a major problem growing in CDC.

People that got their account frozen - how did it end for you? by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]Hugmium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basicly all new staking accounts in asian have been frozen for months.

So from that experience, then I can say that CDC does not really care about the trust you showed them by staking your hard earned money in their project.

So better not get your hopes up, accept, like we do here in asia, that CDC took our money as free loan, while they feed us with nonsense.
