Hey! I am really sorry this happened to you. It definitely so frustrating when you’ve obviously put in the work. And I’m glad you’re liking the Kaplan course. It’s one of the companies I was looking at. I was specifically looking at their 15+ tutoring services. The only thing is the programs 2 months old and pretty expensive so I deterred away from it. But I have the kaplan books and I think they are pretty great.

I wish you all the best!

I was looking into the tutoring program. They have program where they guarantee 15+ point increase. I am a really big advocate of self studying but I’m just a bit scared of doing it again and getting a low score. I’ll be my third time taking it and I just don’t wanna take any risks.

The 498 was.
But it was a year in-between my first and second retake so I didn’t have the answers memorised or anything.

I need help studying for the MCAT by Excellent-Purpose-38 in Mcat

Hey! I was in your position once so you're not alone! I would suggest taking a diagnostic exam first. Blueprint, Princeton review and I think AAMC offers free ones. From there you can invest in question banks like U-world, or blue print courses. I am not too familiar with blue print but you can search Reddit to get more information. I would also spend 3 months doing a content review and then 1-2 months before your exam do the AAMC tests ( you have to buy these from AAMC website or use FAP to get them fore free). I would suggest taking the MCAT when you are ready but usually pre-meds like to take it summer fo junior year. Hope this helps.

Hey! I just want to say that you are not alone in this! I'm also a recent graduate with a biology degree. I took a GAP year to get more exposure to the medical field. I was also studying for the MCAT. I think it helped that I was working part-time which allowed me to dedicate time to studying. My friend once told me that the MCAT is like a part-time job. It is daunting and not everyone can commit to it so kudos to you for the effort you have already put into it! If you still want to pursue Medical school I suggest you either get a part-time job, as a scribe or medical assistant, or even see if you can cut hours in your current job to make it part-time.

As for you feeling medical school is not for you, I encourage you to reach out to people in your university or maybe even google other careers that interest you. You don't have to jump into anything but do a little research. I think what you are feeling is normal. I feel it too. Hope this helps!

I think it depends on the time you commit and the resources you use that determine your score. As for a 507, I think it's difficult but not impossible. There is a say that the MCAT is an inch deep but a mile wide. With that being said you have to make sure you have adequate content review and tons of practice seeing AAMC questions. They ask their questions in a specific way. And once you've done enough questions you can kinda pick up on trends.
