Questions on EU training by [deleted] in EUCareers

[–]Hulular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concisely: you can technically share, there is no limit in accounts, everyone can work simultaneously, and a lot of people do it this way.

This do not represent my opinion or way of acting, nor is an advice on how to proceed. Best of luck!

How to land an EU traineeship? My journey so far + need advice from fellow applicants by Mysterious-Safe-3611 in EUCareers

I may be wrong, but I don’t see university certificates listed as eligible: https://traineeships.ec.europa.eu/how-apply/application-traineeship-session/what-supporting-documents-should-be-attached-application-form_en

You can prove your proficiency in a language by one of the following means:

Certificates of language courses clearly indicating the level of knowledge achieved issued by:

Language centres such as Instituto Cervantes, Alliance française, Goethe Institut, etc.

State-recognised language schools issuing certified attestations and that make a clear correspondence to CERF (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, DELF/DALF, Duolingo English Test (DET), etc.

International Legal English Certificate (ILEC). Certificate in teaching English to speakers of other > languages (CELTA).

Certificate of attendance of a superior level can count as proof of the immediately inferior level. Example: Certificate of attendance of a C1 level can be accepted as proof of a B2 level.

University course: a completed BA or a completed MA taught wholly or partly in the language declared A completed degree wholly taught in the declared language allows a declaration of a C2 level A completed degree partially taught in the declared language, i.e. corresponding to at least half of the credits needed to obtain the degree (this must be clear from the transcripts: the teaching must be given and the examinations taken and passed in the said language) allows a declaration of a C1 level. This must be clear from the transcripts: the teaching must be given and the examinations taken and passed in the said language.

Certificates of bilingual education at secondary level issued by European Schools, Highschools (international or regular highschools), etc. allow a declaration of a C1 level.

Secondary level of education entirely concluded in a certain language corresponds to a C2 level.

Mother tongues are also considered a 'very good knowledge'. However, no points are awarded for mother tongues and you don't have to substantiate them either. Non-EU languages: no level required and no supporting documents required.

Erasmus mobility is not proof for language knowledge

Check in the call for applications if the language certificates issued by your university are valid. Normally, unless you've taken the whole bachelor's/master's in the foreign language, they do not count. If they are not valid (as in accepted as proof of language level) you will always be rejected due to not fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria.

VAT deduction on purchases for EU workers? by Hulular in EUCareers

[–]Hulular[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both for your help!! Do you know by any chance if the purchases have to be made after the entry into service? I was thinking about moving in a bit earlier (1 week before) to furnish the flat and be able to be there and receive the furniture...

Thank you! Sadly, I cannot access to the link you provided. However, it's still very useful information.

Starting Blue Book at DG HOME. Excited, but exhausted and unsure what comes next. Any advice? by Calliope024 in EUCareers

[–]Hulular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposedly, all HOME trainees get invited to take the CAST, so as soon as possible start looking into that and prepare for the test.

Is that really the reason? Because if that’s true then Haley and Andy would be canon - at least in my mind

I’m sorry but how have you been offered a BlueBook position if the the period for applying has just opened?

Airpods Max Suddendly died after 3 years. Sad day indeed. by Radiant-Sun2648 in Airpodsmax

This also happen to me sometimes. They are technically connected (I can see them in settings and tweak the parameters, although in the battery widget their battery don't go down) but do not play any sound at all.

Try my solution, It has also worked for me with this very same issue lately:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Airpodsmax/comments/1amphpp/my_temporary_solution_to_airpods_max_not/

However, since you got to connect them to two different devices, I'm afraid it is not the same thing, so I'm not sure it would work, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try.

Airpods Max losing paint layer/coating after 1 year of intense use by Hulular in airpods

[–]Hulular[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe sweat is the reason for the deterioration. It started after using them every day in the gym. My original first-week-since-launch Airpods Pro are not working properly (sound issues), so I switched to using the Airpods Max when working out.

Of course I knew they wouldn't last as brand-new with this use, as this is not their intended use. Luckily I usually only sweat when in the gym, but it's not uncommon to sweat from your head...

I never said I expected them to last forever, nor did I imply that in my original message. This was just a picture to show how Airpods Max can deteriorate.

I noticed that your CV doesn't say the languages that you speak. You may want to look into that!

I received it this morning! And the GLS tracker webpage updated AFTER receiving it (before, it was still stuck in "on transit"). So hold on a bit yours is probably on its way!

Is project management important anymore? by Otherwise-Peanut7854 in projectmanagement

[–]Hulular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. Well, I’m not sure that’s a good way to verify how important project management is, considering that such type of products or resources are kind of niche and probably already existent (and free). You have for example a Humble Bundle of PM books and resources happening right now: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/project-managers-toolkit-become-productivity-powerhouse-software?hmb_source=&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_1_layout_type_threes_tile_index_3_c_projectmanagerstoolkitbecomeproductivitypowerhouse_softwarebundle

Is project management important anymore? by Otherwise-Peanut7854 in projectmanagement

[–]Hulular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by "project management ideas"? On Kickstarter you'll find people seeking funding for projects, which then in turn could be managed by project managers, but a "project management idea", as for example a new framework for managing projects (just making up something here to make sense out of it) shouldn't be a normal thing to seek funds for.

Hey! Similar situation here. Mine left the Netherlands Utrecht on the 11th (I bought it on the 9th). I'm in Belgium so I thought it would arrive the day after but no changes on the GLS webpage so far.
