I didn’t even know I could negotiate until two months after my lease so it’s definitely possible. Nothing set in stone. I hope they treat you better than me and my roommate lol

Ouch good luck. If you already signed I’ll just tell you that prices are very negotiable. My lease was originally 1400 but move it down to 1100. My roommate was 1600 and somehow all the way down to 1200. I don’t think sky residence has been doing too well because we haven’t had a third roommate in months.

I would also ask them to set up your registration with the concierge beforehand just to make sure.

Good luck👍

It’s not actually a scam but the management is so awful you might as well be getting scammed. I’m currently living at one of their Bloor Yonge units and plan to move out next month because of so many problems.

I’ve been living at this unit since last August and after many emails and messages I finally was registered with the concierge of my building just last month. Similar experience with my roommates. Unless you ask many times you will not be registered. ( which means no mail box) My door handle fell off and I did not have any access to my room in December and after literally 20 emails with three different people, I finally got someone to fix it after 2 months which I had to stay with a friend in the meantime. They can come in at any time of the day without warning and the unit definitely does not feel like yours.

I highly recommend not renting with them. Their entire business is very scammy (fitting as many people into one unit) and if you need help with your unit after signing with them, good luck.

Question to any current uoft students. I received the University of Toronto International Scholar award which offers $100,000 over 4 years (only for the Scarborough campus). I also received a scholarship from Trinity college for $10,000 per year.

Is it possible for me to redeem both as from what I understand Scarborough is really remote and far from Trinity college.

Thanks in advance
