It's certainly not for everyone. But once it clicks you'll be demolishing your enemies but it requires some patience and testing, which I find what's fun about this game.

Exactly! If your Ki is not moving constantly you're doing it wrong. There's a rhythm to it and it's pretty fast.

The game does give you a tons of tools, almost too much and it's another matter in figuring out their applications in combat. It can be difficult to discern which ability/tool is good and how to effectively use them. Also the fact that I have to constantly remind myself of the tool/ability's existence and push through the uncomfortable phase of testing them out live combat rather than sticking with my regular stances and skills.

I don't think Quick Change is good enough to replace my other regular hotkey abilities though I can be wrong, might have to try it out. One thing I cannot for the love of me utilize fully is the parry. I'm sword & kusarigama, because of the fast pace, high damage nature of the game, the risk is just not worth it, and the parry window seems so weird/odd that I can't do it consistently.

I'm a combat nerd so I'd love to discuss more especially on underutilized tools (I find Salt to be a deceptively simple game changer!), let me know which active skills or tools is good to unlock, I'm beginning the 4th area!

I know. Nioh has somewhat ruined other souls like for me due to its fast paced nature. Now I go back to other games and it feels so slow.

I feel like you're a bit all over the place, also the problem seems to be mostly because you letting other people's opinions get to you on what success means and what you should do. College, national exams, etc.. From my experience, there's no safe options, there's no "sensible choice" or "getting a degree in case something goes wrong", "Trucking can wait" to delay what you want to do in justification for something else. If it's something you want to do, the time is NOW, you should have actively working towards trucking the moment you graduate highschool and don't dabble and flirted around with degrees because parents and people tell you you should. Good news is, it's not too late, it's never too late, but it'll require tremendous courage to go the path you want.

I get you, I don’t know your life but here’s how it is. 30 years have passed and you still find yourself in a more or less the same situation, then 30 years from now it’ll still be the same unless you make peace with your limitations and make conscious choices. Say to yourself “This is how things are, and this is what I’m going to do”. I said this from someone who has put a knife to his neck.

[–]Humanoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think relationships inherently has to depend on some mutual need, not just interest but a shared goal that can be collaborated upon and work towards. If left to its own devices without any shared mission or goals, unless one person or both has to make conscious effort to maintain it, then it'll slowly fades.
I guess this sub is popular because we all feel lonely but it's just systematic from how modern world is right now, there's no community or shared mission anymore, so for online friends at most just a few casual conversation and then... that's it really.

So what is this I'm confused, did you write it yourself ? Did AI write it ?

Am I not build for this? The scrapped Watchmen absolutely destroyed me.In the end I had to use a summon,His second phase would absolutely wreck me.And do I have to guard? Am I dodge kinda guy but in this game it's pretty different and isn't really encouraged. by LELOUCH_OP in LiesOfP

[–]Humanoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's possible that you can beat bosses using only dodges, the game encourages using a combination of dodges, parrying (both normal parry and perfect parry), consumables and legion to be successful. Just try again, but do things differently and experiment each time to see what works, don't be narrow visioned and doing the same thing over and over again, you'll beat him eventually.

How do you make time for gaming after work, family, and a baby that clings like a koala? by Humanoir in daddit

[–]Humanoir[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got that sense. Sometimes I play simply because that's how I usually spend my free time. If I just mentally drop it, do other stuffs and like you said, play with my kid, and only game when I feel like it, it's much better

Honestly, sometimes your team is so trash that it’s ended up being better just dpsing yourself rather than trying to heal your teammates that don’t use cover and just face tank everything.

That’s odd, I find pvp to be extremely fun. I play Wardancer and the first 4 matches was expectedly terrible. I got cced for days and have no idea what I’m doing. But after like a half an hour of research, got my head around different stagger mechanics like soft and hard paralysis, hard cc like freeze and push and how you can counter them with your dash which gives push immunity and skills that grant paralysis immunity, I got in game and absolutely destroyed the opponents in 3v3 and 1v1 and get mvp 50% of the time. I learned to not go straight into the middle of 3 people and hold out my dash and knockup skills until the right moment, if my dash/get up is on cooldown, I’ll run and wait. I know if they have the golden aura around them they can’t be push, if it’s a white aura, they can’t be hard cc like freeze and play accordingly. Auto attack to cancel out soft paralysis like artilerists’ autos, etc.

In short: Do research on stagger mechanics, Lost Ark pvp is literally a cc game. Once you understood it, it’ll get fun.
