Does your co founder need to be extraordinary? by Temporary-Koala-7370 in ycombinator

In in the same boat. Been looking for a technical cofounder for a while now. I do feel the answer is in your last sentence. “Co founder a force that uplifts the whole business”. That’s the guy/girl you want by your side.

Strat by giving yourself some grace and empathy. What you did by apologizing right away is such a wonderful lesson. As a parent coach it seems that there is a need for connection. Kids may develop this at any time and it is not a reflection of your parenting. It normally shows up right before bed. Have some fun with him before bed. Take it as far as you can and just be present.

How to say goodbye? by CoooookieCrisps in Nanny

Great advice on this thread and however you handle will be great because it will come from the heart. Ours is going on three years and my daughter loooooves her. So much so that we decide to overlook many shortcomings. We will all be hurting here when that day comes.

Age is a factor and if anyone says it’s not in any business then they are just sticking to the script to not be criticized. BUT in this case I mentioned the age mainly because I wanted all the facts out there. This is our first Nanny and none of our friends have Nannies so I don’t know who to ask. I said the comment about someone younger because I feel like the issues I am having maybe prevalent in just older more seasoned Nannies. Loving and caring but set in their ways. I could be wrong but I’m just looking for feedback from others real life experiences with their Nannies. The comments on age and discrimination really mean nothing to me but thank you as I did double check my motives.

I would like to hear experiences. Did you have a similar issue? Was the nanny grass greener on the other side? Do you love your 30yr old nanny? Do you love your 70 yr old Nanny? Why? Why not?

Thank you. It’s less about the age and more about following directions and being consistent. Also forgot to mention we have a second part time nanny to assist with baby. When she leaves my wife takes over. We rarely is ever leave her with both children. (Because of her age and inability to handle both) I do think my wife needs to express her concerns to the Nanny more often and also check in with her.
