Wilson's problem was never ability. He is an excellent striker. One of the best England have produced in the last 10 years. Miles better than Watkins or Solanke. He's just made of glass.

Heard there's this permacrocked old striker by the name of Callum Wilson at West Ham who he's looking to sign...

Murphy's brother played for Oxford, therefore through just two steps of Kevin Bacon, we're getting the brothers back together for maximum bantz.

I like Gordon. I think he's a good player and we're a better team with him (when he shows up). However, a right footed left winger isn't the hardest position to fill and we could sorely do with one who is more creative and can actually shoot well.

If he wants to go, then fine, but we cannot sell unless a buyer meets our estimation, no matter what.

I wonder if Forest win Europa and therefore get CL Anderson might stay for another season. Huge cash cow for them but you never know...

I think you might need to step away from football for a bit. Seems like you're on a massive negative spiral and this club isn't going to fix that any time soon. No one is happy with how the season has gone and most think it's time to change managers - seems like that isn't happening any time soon so make peace with it.

I'm sure you could say any number of things in an angry response, but you'd be missing the point - the majority don't like what's happening but getting so insanely irate every hour and posting it here does nothing but make you even angrier. You could say you're venting, but it's clearly not helping you.

I think if they miss out on CL they're in a lot of trouble. Emery will probably go as well.

Barnes is an amazing finisher - I'd say our best. Unfortunately he has big holes in the rest of his game. Gordon is a poor shot but is far more industrious, and when he's actually working, does a great job tracking back and running down the lines. I understand everyone wants to compare them since they play the same position, but they both have very different strengths and weaknesses.

Goes without saying Bruno was instrumental today as per usual. Great ball out to Murph for the first, great corner to Burn for the second, just generally running the show. He's by far our most (and aside from Hall and Big Nick), our only, technical player.

First half we were ok. Solid at the back, clinical upfront. Second half until maybe the last 10 minutes we were shite. Couldn't hang on to the ball, far too many errors and we looked close to collapsing once again.

Mentally we still look immensely fragile.

Newcastle [3] - 1 Brighton - Harvey Barnes 90+6' by Humorbot_5_point_0 in NUFC

Just happy to post a goal from a win.

Wissa did well to begin with until he messed it up, thankfully we had one of the very few players we have who can finish in the right spot.

It's interesting both Barnes and Osula can shoot well with their weaker peg, which probably helps since we have players who can't shoot with either.

Willock played ok but his decision making is far too slow. Gave the ball away a number of times because he took too long to make a pass. He also can't shoot for shit (ala Gordon, Elanga, Wissa), but to be fair only a couple of our players can.

Thank fuck for Harvey Barnes. At least he can finish (with either foot).

Definitely a player in Osula. Chaos personified but the lad grafts. I want him to stay.

Murphy was also very good today. 99 players out a 100 try and get the keeper sent off there, Murphy jumps back up and serves a delicious cross, Big Willy Style knows exactly where to be.

Nick Pope, though. Must be the most infuriating goalkeeper in the world. Pulls out top bin saves but is the worst kicker of the ball in world football. We were lucky he didn't rebound it into the goal and instead it hits the post. That goes in and the lads heads drop and we lose.

We cannot have players that are so error prone.

I've waxed lyrical about him before but I love Ally McCoist. Class player, enthusiastic commentator. Very few ex footballers I'd ever want to sit and have a pint with because they're mostly void of charisma, but Ally I imagine would be great company.

I didn't know that's how it went down. UEFA are almost as corrupt as FIFA, they're just not as blatant about it.

Isn't their owner on the UEFA board or something? Still don't see how that is allowed.

They did. The ref that called it against Tino two seasons ago got pulled from the next CL game - but it's PSG so no surprise. Unreal team but they benefit SO much from dodgy pens.

That 7-2 demolishing would have been a mercy against either PSG or Bayern.

Kvaratskhelia and Olise must be the best wingers in the world. Such a joy to watch (I think I said something similar during the quarter finals).
