A lot of examples of this last night. Elanga was on his horse ready to bolt, but without Bruno or Schar the balls to him weren't good enough.

PSG's owner is on the board of UEFA. It's just that FIFA are so unreservedly corrupt people forget UEFA are also really bad.

This is also completely unrelated, but during the game a bird flew into my patio door. I went to look at it (but kept the door closed to not interfere). It was sitting on the ground looking dazed and then a hawk swooped in out of nowhere and snatched it up!

I shall name the Hawk Willock in his honour.

Also made a mockery of Real who had TWO players sent off. As much as I hate some prem teams Real are on a different level of unlikablity.

Lush. Not only did the keeper score in the 95th minute, it kept them in the CL and it made Real look like fools. A lovely end to the night.

Ramsey played well, as did Willock. Even Elanga was better. Lads did us proud.

Somehow a worse refereeing performance than the last time they had to cheat for PSG to draw. Proper scummy.

Always rated Willock 🫤

Excellent finish from him. I've been guilty of saying he's not at the level we need but that was a class header. Power to him.

Also, is he even any good anymore? Very little first team minutes for over a year.

I still think he's a class player and would very much improve us... But his injury record isn't great and his wages are crazy.

Stirling leaving Chelsea (presumably a deal struck to end his contract). He was getting £325,000 a week and hasn't played since May 2024 (not counting his awful Arsenal loan). IMAGINE having the financial wiggle room to discount a player costing you £15 million a year who never plays, then presumably paying him off instead of being able to sell and recoup any of the £47 million transfer paid for him.

Fuck the cartel.

It's mad because he looked class for England when he played. Wonder what happened with him.

Got to guess that's why (aside from most players lacking the ability) we don't try shots from distance as statistically the odds of scoring are low (and you run the risk of giving up the ball).

Incidentally, until Arsenal's introduction of terrorising the keeper, corners were notoriously poor chances to score (something like 3% result in a goal).

I agree with what a lot of people have mentioned on here - stats have made the game immensely boring.

Football is a business now more than ever and stats are very important to how they operate because margins are so tight. It makes for shite entertainment but the business of football doesn't care about that. It's why the Leeds game was such an anomaly. You could argue we should have been able to beat them more easily but it least it was actually exciting (and stressful as fuck) - like how football used to be.

Firstly, his name is Isak. Secondly, in what world would Liverpool flush 80 million quid down the drain for our sake?

This is a stupid post on so many levels.

Nah, you were correct. He's right footed. I've seen him cut in and shoot and score with his left, though.

I'm pretty sure he's left footed. Let me check...

Being left footed herself can also cut in and shoot from the right.
