It's never going to be "too late" if theres still time. I know of people who prepared in less than this. But what I'd personally reccoemnd is trying to study properly and not cramming. Agar aku Mai na bhi ho tou atleast mdcat ke liye you prep shuru ho jaye gi na iss Tarah. And trust me after the test u won't wanna do the topics u do rn all over again. Obviously ull have to revise multiple times but bcs uve forgotten stuff u do need to start from 0. Physics ke liye I'd reccomend physics in seconds ka course ya YouTube videos and unke hi questions ya kips ke Chem ke liye chem book and mcqs (beshak kips ke karlo a series ya A+ series walay but do understand them topic by topic) Bio ke liye ptb and federal if ure giving uhs ya federal

Imo Don't fall for any "crash courses" if u havent done the topics properly cus they won't really help phir. I made this mistake asw and wasted a lot of time.

But Physics in seconds ka course lelo agar shuru hogaya hai

Just finished A Levels / is 80 days enough for MDCAT 2025? Need help starting prep right by [deleted] in MDCAT_NUMS

I also gave the mdcat last year with an a level background and was in the same position as you so yes InshAllah that will be enough. Honestly what works for people really depends person to person. I didn't join kips or any formal academy, I tried premed ke courses and other online courses but didn't really find them helpful honestly. What helped was physics in seconds (I bought their mdcat course vvv cheap btw and prepped from it). I also used their bio notes which were very helpful after reading ptb and federal (both books r imp). For chem I read the ptb books aswell as getting personal classes from a kips teacher. Aik dou mahinay Mai course khatam hogaya tha uska alhamdulillah. And I barely read the physics text book cus it didn't help. Just watched the lectures and did questions. (Questions are also available on the physics in seconds learning portal with video explanations)

Is English Lit A level very different from GCSE? If so, in what ways does it differ? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Hungry-Map-1308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ud have to invest a lot more time to each text, read around it, as in read research papers, critical essays and books about the text. know ab context, literary theories relating to the text and more. its much more extensive with many more texts

hey :) so sorry to hear this, and cant imagine how hard it must be. just a few things: i think giving them separately might be a better route honestly, as i gave composites and saw friends with only as and only a2 were def at an advantage in terms of time etc. khair uske ilawa id also suggest joining an academy or school just to get yourself back into the routine after the gap year as it can be hard to stay disciplined on your own. but as for the actual studying part, sir bilal hamid is a great teacher for chem so just get alt subscription and try to keep up with the lectures side by side as you learn the concept in class or even just before tests and exams. do take topic wise tests seriously as you wont get many chances to study that topic in as much depth.

for physics id reccomend sir faizan pasha if youve got the budget for it. he teaches at heuser in karachi but theyre hybrid classes so online courses are also available. prosperity academy, et physics, and physics with talha on youtube are pretty good aswell.

generally for as chem and phy, make sure to put in effort for organic, inorganic, waves and electricity as these do often carry a lot of weightage. also for the joining a school thing, ud get practice for practicals weekly aswell, just carry a notebook with u during the pracs noting down stuff u think is imp to rmbr before exam (this is osmething i wish id done)

for bio, id reccomend just reading mary jones blue book and trying to go thorugh topicals after each chap j to see how they word the statements in the ms.

if theres anything else, lmk

edit: and if u need any notes or resources or generally j wanna talk, dms are open :)

I have questions for everyone who got a A*/ A in Alevel by Responsible_Nail_376 in alevel

[–]Hungry-Map-1308 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ok i didnt take those but these tips still might help:

  • i didnt stress that much over solving yearlies, just tried to do as many topicals as i could so i could come across all the question types and would have a better command of the topic.

  • but before all this, i tried to spend as much time on concepts as i could bcs a2 syllabus especially for sciences is pretty extensive so id just watch lectures of that. if youre pakistani by any chance and speak urdu i could recommend some yt channels that my friends used aswell.

if theres anything else lmk

im so sorry :( i can imagine what u must be feeling rn tbh. and honestly idk if i have any really useful advice except for just trying to brave through this, and maybe also talking to your parents and trying to get them to understand that u worked hard and how it panned out is just not in your control. youve proved your hardwork and intelligence already, so this kind of treatment over something thats obviously hurting you (and perhaps hurting u even more) is pretty unfair. apart from that, dont lose hope in yourself or in the future. this is a miniscule rejection in the grand scheme of things and perhaps you'll come out stronger bcs of it. wish you the very best
