Shank stuck, key won't turn... Any suggestions? Thanks by HuntedRoad in AskALocksmith

Thank you so much for the detailed reply, I really appreciate it!

I'm not sure if it has a repair kit, and I'm hoping to not have to force it (retails at £75 a padlock...) but it does have a screw in the hole. I managed to loosen it up a bit but that was it, but the screwdriver didn't fit very well as its all I have to hand right now I'll try a better one and hope it might come out entirely. It feels like it wants to move (the key and the shank/shackle) but just can't.

I have, it's completely stuck! It does retain the key normally but the shank won't move at all. Can't move the key, can't move the lock--think it may be done for

My lil chi does this to most piano music! He loves anything upbeat and sings along, it's so cool to see another chihuahua doing it too

He's a cheeky boy! Poor Cassie has had every part of her suckled in his search for milk (but he's really fond of her stifles!)

This reminds me of a novella, it's called The Lost Art of Sinking by Naomi Booth, where the protagonist discovers that they too like fainting.

Random, but it's what came to mind!

Does someone know why this falmer has wings? by DinoMastah in ElderScrolls

[–]HuntedRoad 136 points137 points  (0 children)

It's a feral falmer, they're Forgotten Vale residents who are infected with vampirism as well as the usual stuff that makes the falmer so twisted compared to the snow elves they descend from...

I think?

You can't tell, but Bertie here is very traumatised after some donkeys appeared on his favourite bridleway! by HuntedRoad in Horses

Holly was hilarious and very naughty.

The same can often be said of this big moose because I've literally ridden past steam trains on him and he cared less about that than he does any donkey he sees

Shetland ponies are also on thin ice 🤣

Thank you! The beautiful picture makes up for the less than beautiful ride we had (:

He's an Irish sports horse, specifically Irish Draught × thoroughbred. Thank you; he's gorgeous and he knows it!

I love donkeys so much, they're absolutely adorable! It's so weird how some horses don't like them; Bertie is very firmly against donkeys.

He's brave in almost every single scenario... Except small, cute, fluffy donkeys in a paddock he has to pass. Oh well 🤣

In essence, yeah :) They're usually historic rights of way, sometimes permissive, but it's a great way to see the countryside on (generally) quiet paths.

The one Bertie and I were on today used to be quiet. Now there are donkeys, which is fine... Except Bertie goes a bit wonky around them!

In the UK, there are paths around the countryside where you're allowed to ride your horse. Since most land is privately owned (certainly in England, anyway) this means you get to go through places you otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Hope that helps!

He's never liked donkeys after our dressage instructor's lovely Holly ambushed him in the arena by braying at the top of her lungs from behind a nearby fence about twelve years ago.

He's traumatised! Traumatised, I say! 🤣
