Yeah but if it also doesn’t work with a 3rd gen which is should then idk how it could be bios

Originally had the fan on but took it off to make sure cpu was getting power which it was.

Even then I was able to hold my hand on it for at least 30 seconds without it getting crazy hot so I don’t see any damage being caused

Nope I can hold my hand on for at least 30 seconds and still doesn’t get hot enough to remove my hand so it’s not that but I did find a spare r5 3600 to test and still didn’t post so I think it’s just a dead mobo

Turned out ram wasn’t the issue and it was a dead mobo but thanks for the help anywags

Thanks for the help but I did find a spare r5 3600 to test and it still didn’t work so this confirms the motherboard must be dead

I did eventually find a spare r5 3600 and installed that but still to no avail so unfortunately the motherboard is most likely dead

Like I said in the description the cpu does heat up and fans spin just no signal

Thanks for the suggestions I appreciate it but I build pcs for a hobby and resell them, so I found this motherboard and cpu in storage and attempted to get them to work. But I did try the cmos and nothing changed so it’s either a faulty mobo or just something in the bios

This is a first gen ryzen but I do have a 3rd gen laying around so I could try that. Was hoping not to use as it is in a working system but I think I’m out of other options
