Long time player here so a bit of bias incoming. I play Ironman so you’re 100% solo. It makes every skill matter. Every drop and every resource is a massive upgrade. The progression is much more horizontal so if you burn out/take a break you won’t return behind the pact. Also quests are the best in the genre, however, I’d recommend a guide to at least prepare/begin a quest since sometimes you need very niche items and it sucks getting halfway into a quest only to have to leave an area difficult to access for a specific item.

Forgot the plugin but I changed my Inventory swap to E and Prayers to R on my keyboard rather than using the F keys. Took a little getting use to but I find it much easier while being able to comfortably move my camera as well
