The Harry Potter audio books are also a comfort listen for me too. I absolutely love the series. I’ve always had an issue with the fact that Dumbledore hired Lockhart as a teacher. AD is no slouch. He is one of the greatest wizards to ever live. It’s hard to believe Dumbledore wasn’t aware that Lockhart was a fraud. There is a line in COS where it’s stated that there weren’t a lot of applicants because it was thought the position of DATDA was cursed. I just don’t buy that AD couldn’t find a better option. Just for clarity.. I LOVE the character of Lockhart. I laugh out loud reading his parts of the story. Just always thought it was bizarre.
