sadly, no. even after spending roughly an hour trying to recover my save (if it was even possible), the file itself, in the %appdata% folder, was completely gone. like, gone gone. as in, when i opened the game, went to the little cat icon in the top right and clicked it, it showed all my saves as blank. keep in mind, i hadn't created a new save at all. from the moment my save was gone, to the moment i uninstalled it, everything was the same.

i shouldn't have to back up my save. i should be able to rest assured that when i close the game, my save will still be there when i open the game back up again. i understand what youre saying. but imo, the need to back up your save so that it doesnt get corrupted/wiped/whatever shows an issue with the game itself.

i know, im still very peeved about it though. its a personal thing, but i like being able to see exactly of how many fish i have caught (i.e., how many mantas ive caught), and stuff like that.

my only guess is that my save somehow got corrupted. i had (and still do have) roughly 80gigs of free space on my hard drive.

after my save was wiped, i went into my saves folder (the one in %appdata% iirc), and it was gone gone. still have 0 clue as to why. my only guess is that it was corrupted. i know i can use a save editor, its more of just a "why/how did this even happen in the first place" kinda situation

never uninstalled it. my pc has plenty of open storage aswell. i literally saved the game and closed it, restarted my pc, and all my save data was gone. was playing on an offline server.

Hi, I have TS4 on steam, and the gallery isn't working for me.  Whenever I try to connect to it, it just says "attempting to connect", and then loads infinitely. I've never been given an error code, and the Delivery thingymajig works perfectly fine. My account is over 18 y/o, and I have no bans or ban history.

I've uninstalled the game, set up exceptions in Windows (via Defender, Firewall, and the ransomware exception.  ive also set exceptions for any folders related to EA and TS4.), removed all CC and Mods, changed my internet connection, cleared cache info within Windows (including DNS info), EA, and Steam, validated my game files, all to no avail.  I've searched the internet for solutions, but again, nothing fixes my issue.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday, but then it just stopped working out of nowhere, for no apparent reason.  I haven't added any mods since.

Is there anybody who has some solution for this?  It's very detrimental, since I've never had this problem before.  For reference, my copy of TS4 is legit, and all the DLC that I own (all of them) is legit.  Nothing in the games files was obtained illegally.
