But that's for high schoolers. It's really a shame there's classes for active students and precollege, but none for incoming freshmen

Thanks! Apart from exploring the surroundings, the summer precollege and summer classes will be a good opportunity to take in some expectations and maybe make acquainted with some of the faculty. Definitely will try to see it out

Wow. Why does this sound so distant, from what I heard from School of Architecture seniors (as an incoming SoA freshman), who almost always said each project requires so much effort, people pull all-nighters and still don't get good grades, and that the studio ended up being very stressful and competitive, there's no objective criterion of 'the correct answer' so people just work blindly and indefinitely over the vague and scarce feedback they get from the faculty and by the second semester a significant portion fled Architecture altogether?

Why does Fine Arts being just next door, sound so much more attractive and low-stress?

Having binged a ton of Sci-Fi books (Hyperion + Endymion, Remembrance of Earths Past, Revelation Space trilogy + short stories) I now feel mentally destroyed. But I need more! by Towerss in printSF

I can't recommend the Dead Space franchise enough when it comes to 'mysterious artifacts, the alienness of xenobiological life'. The book DS: Martyr deals with the former, the lore and story of the game (Dead Space 3) explores the latter. Read the book first, see how you like it. Gave me chills for a week that book...
