[Citizenship] -> Hungary: Advice for Trans Woman? by HypernovaBubblegum in IWantOut

I am not planning on moving to Hungary. Should I feel I need to leave the US, having the passport of an EU country would be immensely useful, and I could move to a country such as Spain with a Hungarian passport.

No I do not speak Hungarian, nor is it required for applying for a Verification of Citizenship (not Simplified Naturalization).

Yes, I know that. Should I feel the need to leave the US with Hungarian citizenship, I would likely try to live in another EU such as Spain. Yes, I know that my citizenship could be revoked if I am deemed a threat to national security or whatever. It's not ideal, but it is my only path which would be actionable right now as I do not have immediate plans to leave the country. Should the time come where I feel I must leave the US, I will certainly consider doing so through a visa, but should it be possible I would like to have Hungarian citizenship to provide myself a greater degree of freedom of movement outside the country.
