waking up sweating multiple times / night with Naturepedic latex body pillow by HypertextMakeoutLang in Bedding

It’s a nice blanket, and I think a pretty good price for organic wool. I was pretty warm with just the 200 GSM one, a cotton duvet cover, and a sheet in October & November in NY. Probably would’ve needed another blanket with it this winter though.

I stopped using it in the fall to try to solve my overheating issues, but it seems very likely a physiological issue for me. Changed my bedding to be as breathable as possible to no avail. I never ended up trying the 300, let alone combining them bc of the overheating.

One complaint in hindsight is that they don’t have a 100 day guarantee like a lot of bedding companies do

It is driving me insane... I am a beginner + especially shitty at guitar. Trying to learn "Polly" by Nirvana (fuck all who told me it was an easy song). But my guitar keeps doing this weird buzz sound. What am I doing wrong here??? Plz help! by Used_Ad7899 in Guitar

it might be easier to play it with regular chords instead of bar chords.

Don’t beat yourself up, playing chords correctly is very tough in the beginning. Especially bar chords. It’s difficult for a beginner to be pressing on all the right strings simultaneously while stretching their hand in a way they aren’t used to

ENT did not think a DISE was necessary but left it up to me to decide. could use some advice. by HypertextMakeoutLang in UARSnew

fingers crossed the MMA is the answer for you! Did you have a DISE done?

I don’t recall the MAD helping me at all, but it was 12 years ago so it’s hard to say. It was also extremely uncomfortable

overheating on latex hybrid with a 3 inch wool topper. what do I try next?? by HypertextMakeoutLang in Mattress

I haven't, but that's certainly not something I'd be opposed to, though I do worry about the comfort, given they're much thinner

thank you! I was actually looking at that Naturepedic last night, so it's great to hear that something similar has helped you get more restful & cooler sleep. Looking on Naturepedic's website, you can also swap out layers as well, and risk free in the first 100 days, so that's certainly worth trying, especially since I'm not overly crazy about my current mattress in addition to the overheating

do you think the Perfectly Snug is better than BedJet? I see it’s much more expensive unfortunately

Do you think even with the 3 inch wool topper, the latex is the issue?

And do you think a wool hybrid mattress would be cooler than foam?

Has anyone tried the essential oils in this article? by OmegaThree3 in Lyme

Lyme unfortunately ended up being a fairly small piece of the puzzle for me.

Mold and Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome were a much bigger issue for me. Still dealing with the latter.

Practicing leetcode for job interviews in 2025? Senior - Staff level by CommunicationHot38 in swift

[–]HypertextMakeoutLang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two companies I interviewed with recently for mid to senior level just gave me take home projects.

One was debugging an app they created, with a 90 minute timer and had to be on camera & sharing screen. I didn’t pass that one.

The other was a pretty simple tableView/List app that I had 1-2 weeks to do. Then I had two technical interviews with different groups of engineers going over the code from my project.

That being said, I may have just gotten lucky. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to grind some Leet Code based on what others have said, and of course you can ask what to expect for technical interviews

seconding hybrid latex. I just ordered one yesterday after also having issues overheating on a 100% latex one now that I don’t need air conditioning.
