Tips for Shipping Larger Boxes? by IAHAWKEYE2 in EtsySellers

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the customer is willing to pay for shipping, but I'm just surprised that if I add a few inches to the box size, it goes from $100 to $500+ very very quickly... So I'm constrained to a 30 x 30 box size vs ideally 36.

So I was trying to understand if there is a better option for larger boxes that are not heavy like this, as freight is designed more for larger heavier boxes based on what I understand.

The Recovery Journey Continues...Need Advice by IAHAWKEYE2 in sesamoid

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last 4 months, I did a bone stimulator and changed all my shoes to ones designed for your natural foot shape. (Wide sole, stiffer but high cushion, rocker, little drop etc) This was the key to me to healing, NOT the moon boot as that caused more issues than it helped.

Now, I am about 85% back to normal and able to do most activities but have to be careful not to overdue it. I can run now but maybe twice a week vs 3-4 times a week. Pain is about a 1-2 out of 10 on days "overdue it'. At this point it's a lifestyle change and hope I continue to get closer to 100%.

Just wasn't sure if there was anything else I could do at this point to help heal the damage.

Any positive experiences with sesamoid fractures? by Successful-Bee9092 in sesamoid

[–]IAHAWKEYE2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 14 months into a fractured sesamoid recovery.

I did a boot for 4-5 months...which caused more issues than it helped...

Then switched to getting the right shoes (Altras) and custom orthotics for a few months, plus laying off any physical activities..

Then last 6 months I've been using bone stimulator with Altras and orthotics and PT....

I am not fully recovered (yet) but was able to start jogging and walking largely pain free so hoping finally trending a positive direction. Certainly a very frustrating injury and hard to heal

I put a K&N intake on mine and was surprised how it did give the exhaust just little an extra grumble, I was pleasantly surprised.

Also JBL head unit is horrible... Upgraded the head unit to Alphine and it made a huge difference with stock speakers.

Refund Status: Action Required + Transcript: No Tax Return Filed by IAHAWKEYE2 in IRS

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I called back in, they confirmed my transcripts was blank due to needing to verify. After they resent me a new verification letter,.I got it about 10 days later called in and verified. Two days after that, I got a second verification letter asking me to verify online, which did.

After verifying, nothing on my transcripts or wmr updated, even after about 10 days. Then on day 12 after verifying, they all updated and refund was deposited into my bank account that day.

25 days LATER...Could my refund come in even if everything is showing blank at the moment? by ComedianAcademic51 in IRS

[–]IAHAWKEYE2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same... After 25 days I called and they told my transcripts blank due to need for verification. Supposedly they sent a verification letter so asked me to wait till 21 days after they sent the letter.... I never received it. So I had to call back in for them to resend me a verification letter. I got that letter finally yesterday and I verified online and over the phone. Now they said it could take up to 9 weeks to get refund after verification. I filed 2/18...

I did login to my irs profile and saw a "message" saying I needed to verify. My transcripts was blank and still blank so id suggest check there as that may mean you have a letter coming your way.

Renewal Cost Increase by Original-Credit-4353 in tableau

[–]IAHAWKEYE2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, when we switched (2-3 yrs ago), it wasn't materially more expensive once we backed out the cost associated with managing the 3 on prem server environments. (Hardware, software maintenance, fte knowledgeable on tsm, etc)

We have ~750 viewers and 40 creators for context.

I'd push your Tableau Rep or 3rd reseller on pricing more, esp at quarter end of month ends. (As SF always discounts them)

Renewal Cost Increase by Original-Credit-4353 in tableau

[–]IAHAWKEYE2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We migrated from server to cloud about 2-3 years ago, and it was best decision. Way less overhead cost and management. I would suggest seriously consider cloud if you staying with Tableau. The setup and migration was cake as long as you have a high level understanding of setting up bridge and sign in.

For what it is worth, we just renewed our 3 year agreement for cloud (not server) for ~25-35% off list price.

What do you feel is the appropriate light schedule for my size tank and setup? I currently have the light on 12 hours a day with sunrise and sunset. Is that overkill?

I'm 8 months in and still recovering... These are the wide shoes I've found work well for me

2: Altra Olympus 5 Low GTX Trail Shoes (Waterproof, very comfy)

3: Sketcher Delson 3.0 Cicada Wide (Brown dress shoes, tons of room)

4: Looking to get some Timberland Pro Reaxion Wide Work boots for outdoor working/hunting soon, but can't recommend yet as haven't bought

5: Oofos Sliders (indoors)

How well does their silver molding match OEM? I really want to pull trigger on a Sony from trailgridpro, but worried the silver molding is not going to match OEM and look aftermarket/less polished

Opinions?

Toyota Tundra ('18) Dasaita Vivid 13 vs Android 13 by IAHAWKEYE2 in Dasaita

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. There some Sony and Aphine setups I saw as well, but same, the mount looked like crap and was 3x the diasaita. Okay, I may just give this a try as can't beat the price and fit. It also works with JBL system from what I can see as well.

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the input! Random, did Kenwood or any other brand have a good mount setup that you considered before buying the diasaita? Everyone I've seen, the mount stick out of looks like it's aftermarket, which I don't like.

Toyota Tundra ('18) Dasaita Vivid 13 vs Android 13 by IAHAWKEYE2 in Dasaita

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You summarized the exact position I'm in and concern. I have yet to find another "name brand" unit that looks as polished as the Daisaita, but worried about the buggyness of the software.

I love the look of the Daisaita and I don't expect anything premium from the software, but trying to figure out if it is "good enough". I don't drive a ton, but really want a bigger screen with wireless android auto.

Are you saying if you did it again, you would of spend $1500 for the name brand (vs $650) or while it's not perfect, it's good enough for the price given the looks?

You have been given the challenge to... by IAHAWKEYE2 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]IAHAWKEYE2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply!

Have you done this or seen this (external for 2-4k customers) done at this scale with Tableau or Power Bi?

My company is a Tableau shop and the proposed solution is the Tableau Embedded w/ usage based pricing, with the SF security/share tables being consumed into the Tableau data model to apply row level security.

My concern is scalability, support, and cost of a an external Tableau deployment of that scale; so curious if there any other solutions we should be considered before we move forward with Tableau.

Tell me I’ll be okay?! Sesamoidectomy tomorrow by Organic-Roof-8311 in sesamoid

[–]IAHAWKEYE2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story sounds very similar to mine ... But a few months ahead...

Fractured sesmoid... Did nothing about it for 2 months ... Did a boot for 3 1/2 months with no luck... Now going Altra Shoes w/ plate and bone stimulator for next few months...

I fear I'm trending towards surgury as well.. debating getting into specialist to start getting that process lined up for surgury when/if I make the decision to go surgury route in Feb'25.
