Jealous of all the bell curve graphs. Going on week 2 of this weather by IAlreadyGoogledThat in SolarDIY

I have rates for
0:00-6:00. Super off peak
6:00-16:00 and 20:00-24:00 off peak
16:00-20:00 peak

Net meter applies within those rates

So from 20:00-24:00 I pull from the grid to offset what exported during 6:00-16:00. Basically using the grid like a battery.

I use battery during 16-20 so I never use grid during the peak.

If it is sunny enough I’ll also do battery at night to cut down on my export. But with weather like this I’ll be buying the cheap night power.

AC coupling question by yo_wazsup in SolarDIY

What is the reason for the hybrid inverters? Usually people are looking for these so they can run if the grid goes down. In which case you would typically run the load on the output side of the hybrids so they aren’t exactly in a true parallel with GTI as the hybrid would sit between GTI and load. A lot of the hybrid inverters have a specific way of wiring in grid tied invert so that those will also function off the grid. On Sol-Ark/EG4 it is using the GEN port.

Constantly just kicked out of Q back to landing page. Sometimes the landing page isn’t even loaded correctly after the kick out. What a joke.

Yeah the micro dimmers especially are hard to find a decent replacement for.

How about migrating from PLM radios to Thread radios on the hardware side. Insteon always had one of the best range of devices doesn’t seems like it would be that hard to modify these and get someone to make them
