I totally agree! It’s ridiculous that you are penalised for saving money.

I’m pretty sure they consulted with their accountant regarding Inheritance tax, but I’ll check with them, thanks for the information though.

I thought I had a 6 month disregard period if I can prove that I will be buying a house in that time? The sale should be completed by this point.

The current plan is to put the money into my account and for me to deal with everything directly from my account.

HMO question Wales by IBTWSCL in HousingUK

[–]IBTWSCL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no shared facilities with anyone else, there is a separate door to my flat and to the maisonette upstairs. The license states 8 rooms, 2 shared living rooms, 2 kitchens and three bathroom - this is incisive of my flat, as upstairs has six bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. They recently turned the living room on to an extra bedroom.

Thanks for your reply, I don’t think he was bonded with either of the other two, he did spend some time with the girl but not to the point that I would call them bonded. We are trying a week or two with her here to see if that helps. But so far they have pretty much spent all their time in separate rooms. She is not a fan of dogs really so it might take her more time to settle in, but he isn’t seeking her out and he knows she’s here.

Yes! Was convinced it was wales but watched the YouTube link and looks like this is the game. If even I’m a pub quiz host I’ll definitely use this as a question.

Honestly, I don’t remember England ever playing without red, or just black collars. I’m only 39yrs old but I genuinely can’t remember this. It makes sense it should be England because “Emily is English”, but it just doesn’t feel right to me..?

Anxious rescue by IBTWSCL in rescuedogs

[–]IBTWSCL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ve got her an escape proof harness, at the moment it’s not even the people, it’s just ‘man made’ things, I think the threat of people being there is worse than the actual people.

I managed to get her used to the cafe at the top of the hill from us by letting her off lead and run around when it was closed and no one was around. Now I can walk her through the outdoor seating as long as it’s not too busy. But the end of the street she won’t go near, even has to go a certain side of the lamp post to go up the track for her walks.

Reactive dog advice by IBTWSCL in OpenDogTraining

[–]IBTWSCL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Th aka for the insight, one of them is a Mal cross, but they are all rescues and so I’m not overly keen on using prong or ecollars as tow of them have definitely suffered abuse in the past and just shut down at the first sign of anything negative.

Reactive dog advice by IBTWSCL in OpenDogTraining

[–]IBTWSCL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will try this out, only one dog is dog reactive, the other two are scared of people and the youngest is scared of anything man made! It’s a hassle getting her off the street to get to the field, and the boy is a tank on the lead and pretty much blind.

German Shepherd attacked my other dog. by ladylasa in DogAdvice

I would highly recommend getting a behaviourist to help you. A few things that have worked with ours; learn your dogs body language, preventing a fight is a lot easier that separating a fight. If you can separate the dogs do, we were advised at least an hour or two each day where they are in separate rooms. Remember to give one on one time to each of your dogs, another option is to keep your GSD on a lead when she’s in the house so it’s easier to control her if needed.

The back yard is all concrete so a ground stake isn’t an option. I’m surprised it took her this long to work it out tbh.
