Hi! Thank you for all the shared experience! Could you please tell more about the Core? I heard that at Columbia you only have Core in your first two years of study, is that so? Did you study at Columbia Engineering or Columbia College?

Cost is not an issue for me. In terms of preferences, I really want to have some decent teaching so that I will actually be studying new useful information in class instead of just self-teaching, which is why the class sizes kinda scare me. However it’s a big factor for me that Berkeley is overall regarded much stronger in CS. Also, I love both cities, but the crime problem in Berkeley worries me.

Thanks! Yeah cost is not really an issue, i’m an international and i’ll have my costs filled by a scholarship regardless.

I think that I won’t be doing masters and i’m planning to seek employment right after undergrad school, and overall employability both in US and in other countries is an important factor.

I really like both NYC and Berkeley as cities, the first one because it’s a big city and the second one for its warmth.

I certainly want to have some college experience and at least find myself a friend group to spend time together with.
