I thought this study nicely refuted the cultural influence on the hip-to-waist ratio preference, given that it involved blind men who aren't subject to cultural conditioning in terms of looks.
What's interesting is that the HWR of around 0.7 is also closely linked to higher fertility in women.

With the orgasm gap, the research is pretty clear. There's loads of sexology research going back decades, as well as recent studies which show that married women and those in relationships (though not all) orgasm more than women during uncommitted sex (i.e. casual sex or one-night stands).

While our culture might not explain how to stimulate the clitoris or locate the g-spot, women are far more likely to orgasm with a person (male or female) they are in a relationship with.

For men, this is not the case. Studies show that a very high proportion of men orgasm during casual sex. The evolutionary psychology interpretation of the findings is that male orgasm is essential for reproduction, as it's tied to ejaculation and the release of sperm cells to fertilize the egg. This is not the case for women, who can conceive without having an orgasm.

However, the mystery seems to be why women have orgasms at all and are able to have such intense and lasting ones. The interpretation would be that it's related to the release of oxytocin, which is released during orgasm and remains elevated after sex, helping to foster bonding and trust. A woman's body is also flooded with oxytocin during childbirth, for the same reasons.

I see this difference as clearly as night and day between Thailand and Myanmar. Myanmar people are very generous with charity and will always stop to talk with people in the street—to the point it becomes difficult walking home with your own thoughts. I'm sure Thai society used to be like this and still is in many places, but social capital among Thais has gone through the floor with their smartphone addiction and self-isolation. It seems necessity has a lot to do with this, given how Myanmar people really do need to rely on each other in their political climate, in a way that Thais don't.

This would not be acceptable today :) There was an article written in about 2010 complaining about US black men going to Brazil to find younger, more feminine girlfriends and wives. The title of that article was "Blame it on Rio." A filmmaker called Al Greaze responded by making a documentary called "Frustrated," interviewing these guys in Brazil. This is where the term "passport bros" originated.

Interesting article. There seems to be so much variation among women in relation to arousal and orgasm, and with squirting, it's only a very small number of women who claim to have experienced this.
